I think it’s best for the 4 best teams to get it and I think that it bods well for a 1 loss sec team in th future in the situation we are talking about.

Starts with OL. Good OL can make all the difference. Elite RB is the exception; at LSU a stable of decent to good RBs with fresh legs pounding at them can still wear out even good defenses, when you have a good OL blocking out there. We’ve seen this happen many times before. Elite is nice, but a luxury.

Well when Alabama and UGA starts accepting non-elite running backs, then LSU should start doing it. We're competing against elite teams with elite players. How can you believe you can beat them without elite running backs and WRs along with the current HC and OC?

I agree. I also state the having LF was one of the reasons les miles got complacent.
You're agreeing with a retarded premise via a retarded statement.
Who in their right mind thinks just because you're weak at RB automatically means you'll have a great passing O? It's normally just the opposite.
A stud RB is good to have no matter what passing game you have....... and Miles didn't get complacent, just ask Fedora about Harris.

No coach wants the majority of his offense to be the weakest facet.

After I saw Robertson change Darrell Williams physique from last year I have no problem believing all we need is a good running back

No one needs an elite anything if you have something to compensate for it.

But I’d rather have one.

We don’t have an elite passing game. I dont Think we will with 2 young QBs and young WR. Would be nice to have a running game to line on.

Then they shouldn't be at LSU, a-hole. But if you're expecting any of those talented WR's to not pan out, you're the dumb one, so stop calling others dumb.

You must not have watched Alvin Kamara run and catch for the Saints this year, otherwise, you wouldn't be saying this.

The difference is the Saints have an excellent passing game and QB. An elite RB W/O a good QB provides a crutch for the OC to rely on sometimes too much (LSU's case for years) and not develop the QB and passing game into a balanced part of the offense.
Of course I would rather have an elite RB but with an elite QB and OL to go with him. Hasn't all been there at LSU. SO we have just pounded LF7 & DG5 into stacked boxes, with no success against elite teams.

corrected

True.
Talent is really not necessary or desirable.
All we need is Da Coach O.

Good coaching? Not important.
Talent? Not important.
The power of love between O and his coaching staff will conquer all.

why did it take 2.5 MM to keep Arranda then?

C'mon. You would have lost your shite if LSU had not stepped up to the plate with Aranda. Be honest.

Not what was said dumbass. You don't need one to have a successful offense.

If you're given the option to have an elite running back or have a mediocre running back, you always go with the elite one.

Let me get this straight. You don't need an elite running back, but need elite QBs and WRs. But if the WRs and QBs we have don't pan out they shouldn't be here? And it's not dumb to question if the WRs don't pan out. Lost Johnson and Quinn, not a leap to think some might transfer or not have talent. Smh at people trying to already build in excuses for O.

Then don't think too hard, man, clearly some of you don't do that well at all. You are clearly misinterpreting my comment, but I'm clearly not gonna go out of my way to explain, to many tards on here.
