They are reworking all of the license structure to declutter all of the endorsements. As usual for this administration none of us has been involved in the planning for this restructure of the licenses. (this is different than the new computer system they announced this week). We will have a meeting later this month to get the details of the new license structure. This is the first that I have heard of a fee increase but usually consolidation on something like this would equal an increase.

I suspect that there will be no more al-la-carte licenses, if you want crab and trawl included you would have to purchase a package???? Like I said don't know because the new policy is to develop these plans then spring them on the public instead of getting input ahead of time.

Most fee increases would require approval by the legislature. Stay tuned.

Will let you know what I can when I can if anything productive comes out of the meeting next week.

What do you do with the duck stamp? Isn't it supposed to be signed and stuck on the back of the license?

does not have to be stuck anywhere....just has to be signed across the face in ink and you are good. I have been check several times and had no problem.

What do they need for an infant that’s born out of state but still a resident?

Reelscreamers who are you with? It’s also my understanding that any fee or license structure changes would need to be done through legislation as well.

Charter Boat Assoc. and I sit on the Hunting and Fishing Education Advisory Council.

They are suppose to be simplifying and getting rid of a lot of the endorsements. Haven't seen the draft yet.

Sign it and stick it on the back of your license.

If someone has a lifetime hunting license, does he need to purchase anything additional for deer gun season?

Nope. The only thing you have to buy is a duck stamp. You do have to go somewhere that’s sells licenses and get your tags

I would imagine the birth certificate and copies of the parents Louisiana drivers licenses. I think you have to be back in La for 6 months to be a resident.

the regular licenses are always going up every few years but i havent heard of lifetime going up "yet"

Regular hunting license fees have not changed since 2000. Non-resident waterfowl hunters may have even seen a decrease in 2009 when we changed our license options.
