Baseball starts in roughly a month!

Big fan of what Will Wade is doing with the hoops program, but really looking forward to baseball season.
Checking the roster today it looks like Mason Doolittle isn't listed any longer. Anyone hearing anything?

Probably JC to reenter draft and play immediately

Pitching has me really nervous. But our hitting should be electric enough to always keep us in the game

Kids today just don't want to wait or earn playing time. Travel ball culture at it's best! Doughty actually had a better fall than Doolittle but Doolittle was the higher ceiling player.

Agreed on the frustrating part. Manieri's comments make it sound like he got passed up, which I think is him saying he got outworked.
With our only catcher in the 2018 class being a huge draft risk (CJ Willis from Ruston), don't be surprised if we hit the juco ranks for another catcher before next season.

Any chance Doolittle leaving opens a door for Brennan Lambert (Catholic High - BR) or has he already signed on the dotted line with Lamar?

It's kind of melt worthy. An under Armour all American game participant got beat out by a warm body walk on and left the program after a few months.
He was recruited by Cannizaro originally. Don't know if that played into his decision to leave. Also seems to be dating Russell Reynolds' sister. But that's neither here nor there.
