Let me make this more simple for those who can't seem to get it....

Would Nick Saban hire Steve Ensminger to be his Offensive Coordinator?
Hope this helps.
You simply can't make chicken salad out of chicken shite, no matter how hard you try.

We will have a head coach at LSU no other Power 5 team would hire for that position and an OC no other Power 5 team would hire for that position.
Think about that for a minute.
Joe Alleva put us in this position.
As much as I detest the fact that O is the HC, the reason we are in this spot is Joe Alleva.
He must go, period.

I'm no fan of the pending Ensminger hire but your example is kind of shitty.
Brian Daboll was a 3x failed NFL offensive coordinator working as a TE coach in New England when Saban hired him. It's pretty clear he just wanted a guy he could control.

3x NFL OC is not on Ensminger's resume.
It's a legitimate question.
Would Nick Saban hire Steve Ensminger? Of course he wouldn't. He's probably laughing his arse of about it now.

I disagree, Daboll was a system guy who learned under the best HC in the NFL and a pretty damned good OC in McDaniel. Saban is a system guy and seeing as how he had to make the hire in a short time frame bc of the spot both Kiffin and Sark put him in I’d say he did alright. He probably got him for cheap and got away with a small buyout. Btw, does that OC have any plans tonight?!?!

That’s been the case for the last decade as to the head coach.
LSU needs another Mark Emerett. Right now we have absolutely no leadership at LSU. This leadership team has made a circus out of firing and hiring coaches for their top money making program at the University. There are hundreds of 4H programs around the state that have better leadership than LSU has right now.

There are exactly 2 members of the LSU coaching staff Nick Saban would employ- Dave Aranda and Corey Raymond
3 if you include Ed as DL coach. Hell actually I’m not sure if Ed is a better DL coach than Karl Dunbar. Alabama may not even hire our head coach as DL coach

You are wrong sir. You can make chicken salad out of chicken shite. The problem is it’s still gonna taste like shite.

You disagree that Daboll was given 3 OC jobs in the NFL and failed miserably at every stop?
Just look at this way. What if Ed hired Daboll as his OC last December? Melt is an understatement.

Your dumbass could call plays with that collection of talent. I'm so tired of the deifying of Bama coaches. They have the greatest collection of talent in CFB history by a wide margin. If they produced any other result it would be an abject failure.
I'm not defending Ensminger as an OC. I think it's a bad hire and set up to fail.

Two points. SE has been an OC before. SE wants to be at LSU. SE might be a great OC, he did really well with the offensive scheme he was given.
SE isn't all about the money. Had he wanted to be an OC that with high aspirations he would have had to move around the country just like Canada and Kiffen etc. He DOES NOT WANT THAT!
I bet that O wanted to hire him initially but Alleva would have gotten fired had he allowed it to happen.
Now that Canada has screwed things up like he apparently is prone to do, (See his resume), Alleva now turned over the reins entirely to coach O.
So if you are an LSU fan you will hope that O is the best coach in the country. If you are an LSU fan you will hope that SE is the best OC in the country.
If you are an O hater and don't believe this is anywhere close to the case then you should be ecstatic because this will get O fired if it doesn't work out.
But make no mistake. O knows that he is without a doubt putting his neck on the chopping block with SE as the OC. Yet he is doing it anyway. What does he know that we don't? We have a history with Fisher, Kiffen, Briles, Freeze etc. to judge them by. WE don't know this about SE. We don't know what SE's offensive philosophy is. O does. He has worked with him.
So if you don't like SE as OC and that is what happens. At least give it a chance. Don't like it... that is fine not to like it. It makes perfect sense as a fan to not like this relative unknown taken over the OC position. But don't form a lynch mob before he has made any mistakes.
I liked what he did with the les miles offense mid season. I say at least give him a chance and "Hope and Pray" he is the right answer instead of hoping and praying that he is not the right answer.

Nobody should expect good decisions from Orgeron, as that is not his thing. Why the money people/ Administration would allow this continued incompetence is what is astounding.

So is it a given that Ensminger is the guy? I see that he is named the new OC on Wiki only.

No, sorry. I don't have that many more LSU seasons in me. Why waste another one on this bullshite.
We, the LSU fans, are NOT getting what we paid for if SE is hired as OC. Even if he is a tremendous success, it would have to defy the odds and his history in that job to do so.
Why should LSU take such a huge risk? Fact is, LSU shouldn't. This will not end well.

So you aren't going to be an LSU fan in 2018? That is the point. YOU do not get to hire the coach. Hope for the best. I would have tried to hire a proven OC that thinks like I do if I were the HC. But I am not. So I am going to HOPE that CEO knows what he is doing. He has information that you and I don't have about SE. All YOU and I can hope for is for O's choice to be the right one.

Would Alabama hire O as their head coach? That's all that needs to be said.
