And start winning and BOOM, the bandwagon fans start showing up like they have been women's gymnastics fans for years and years.

honest question

why would you pay a lot of money to watch a mediocre/shitty product . This just isn't in gymnastics but in all sports.

Just because you don't pay and attend an athletic event doesn't mean you still don't support or follow a team.

This happens at every score. If you invest in putting out a good product, people WILL invest their own money and come out

Softball, baseball, and gymnastics have all been extremely successful as of late

Fall sports are still a work in progress

I’d say a bigger reason for the increased attendance is just how the whole meet experience has changed. I’ve been to meets throughout the past 10 years, not on a regular basis in the past, but as a season ticket holder now (bandwagoner, I guess). I can tell you, the meets are on a whole other level now. Even the team introduction is a spectacle to see! Word of mouth goes a long way, too, and people are hearing from their friends how they can bring the whole family, spend a fun night, watch great gymnastics, and not spend an arm and a leg doing it.

I will also say that even if the Tigers aren’t fortunate enough to repeat the success of the past 2 years, the stands will be just as full. LSU gymnastics has great fans and great support, thanks mostly to the hard work of DD in bringing attention to the sport.

Name me one single program that hasn't had an increase in attendance when the team performs better? I'll sit here and wait.

It is actually affordable for an entire family to attend unlike football. My kids love it.
