Anybody plan to leave anything sentimental behind to their children?

I've started thinking about this as I'm getting married soon. My father, for how great has has been, will manage to leave me nothing of use when he passes besides money. There is no knife, watch, tools or wallets. The man just was never really sentimental or dedicated to any one set of items.
What I enjoy doing is cooking and I am a big proponent of cast iron. I've got in to it to the point of buying a bunch of pans, keeping them and cooking solely on them. They're all Lodge, all made in USA of course and pretty much all sizes, including a big cast iron griddle I enjoy. I have a few of my great great grandmothers mixed in from my grandfather. That's some old pans.
I like the process of cleaning and seasoning, etc. and I think over the next 30-40+ years they'll develop quite the character. I'll take good care of them and hope to pass them down through the years.
Cool story and such, I know but just wondering if anybody else had something similar.
I'll probably do the same with my tools but tools nowadays are shite for the most part.

Great post. By chance, are you in a wheelchair?

Guns
The guns would only be worth something to me if they were hunting and he actually hunted. Not something that sat up in the safe for 30 years.
My father has guns but they're all acquired. Never actually used.

I have two working and able legs. I don't have a Rolls Royce.

Family antique furniture, jewelry, pottery, paintings. I would leave them guns but they were all lost in a boating accident.

Is it? I think it's more a product of my lack of productivity at work.

My grandad's wedding band inscribed 1923, and all of his USMC WW1 decorations. Other usual items like guns, pictures, etc.

I have a 1968 Gibson Les Paul in mint condition as well as a Belgium made .22 rifle in mint condition that were both my dads. I will not sell either unless I have to to feed my daughter. She will understand the value of both before she gets them.

I only have a daughter, so she'll get everything I have. It will mostly be my military awards, medals, etc. She'll also get what was left to me by my grandfather. I have his WWII picture album, the camera he used to take the pictures, his flag from his funeral, a shell from the 21-gun salute, and an initial ring he had made from a German silver coin while he was in the war. Other than that it will just be pictures from my childhood.
