This is why I'm not emotionally invested in the athletics department any longer.

Incompetent leadership.
LSU has a BOS full of political hacks. Check them out, read their bios. On what planet are these people qualified to manage a flagship university system? With said board of incompetence, you get:
*A liberal, athletics hating system President. Perhaps "athletics hating" is too strong, but certainly a president who does not understand that as a southern state university, for better or worse, a successfully branded football program is the window through which a majority of the general public views the university, either driving applications, enrollment, and growth, or not. Basically, Alexander is the anti-Emmert. Having this president leads to:
*An athletics director hired fresh off of the Duke rape scandal. This is only an example of his horrific judgement, not even touching on his actual management skills, or lack thereof. This leads to:
*A head football coach no other power 5 conference program would have hired as head coach. Which leads to:
*Complete disarray in the football program. Coaches infighting, meddling, leaking, backstabbing, coordinators leaving, losses, recruiting begins to tank, more losses, decreased ticket sales and donations, etc. Basically the circle of death.
This leads to fellow graduates/fans like myself who check out and become casual fans, turning off the cash flow, maybe attending a game, maybe not. Check in for three hours. If we win, great. If we don't, oh well.
It's a sad state of affairs, and honestly, it starts with cleaning house at the top, with the board of supervisors. The only way to accomplish this feat is to have the LSU people who are mega donors and bundlers for the governor threaten to cut off his cash flow, or back other challengers.
The time has come.

BS. If you weren’t emotionally invested, you wouldn’t be on a damn LSU message board.

No doubt the management looks like a disaster of epic proportions. Epic!

Many are still buying season tickets. This tells leadership they support what's going on

Long post, didn't read, just wanted to say "bye bitch".
Didn't know ya, don't owe ya, and don't care that you're gone.

Spot on. But you (like me) are emotionally invested in the LSU program. Like the other guy stated you wouldn't be posting on a LSU football forum. I get it

This is the problem. Fans don’t understand that money talks. Bitching on a message board or signing a change.org petition is meaningless if you keep spending money.

We'll put you in the 'glass half-empty' camp

Step back. Stop convincing yourself of your importance. Leave if you must for your emotional well being. Bye.

Maybe fans want to see their team play no matter what. Lifelong fans aren’t likely to stop supporting their team because they understand that there are ups and downs. We weren’t always at the top and we are never guaranteed a spot there. That’s how it will be with every program, including Alabama. Suggesting people stop supporting their teams because you don’t like the administration is absurd.

Then don’t expect any change. If Alleva is making money, then he stays. If you’re ok with that, then carry on.

Yeah good call. It can't be healthy to be that emotionally wrapped up in something which is completely outside your circle of control as the management of a college football team. There are certainly more worthy things in life to invest that passion toward! Kudos to you!

The money is still flowing in and people are chomping at the bit to renew season tickets. The leadership views this as the fans overwhelming supporting whats going on.
Please keep in mind this is the same administration that overwhelmingly supported Toonces because it was the #1 selling logo in school history and had a solid run for a decade.
They are out of touch with the fan base and reality. Just look at traffic and concessions how both have drastically declined over the past 7-8 years.
