OU has been pretty unlucky.
-The 03 MNC was a road game against LSU
-Adrian Peterson got injured in both his sophomore and Junior seasons.
-Bradford got injured in 2007 and caused them to lose.
-Demarco Murray got injured in the 2008 Big12 championship and couldn't play the MNC against Florida. Those long run OU got in the first quarter would of been tds. No opportunity for Goalline stands.
- Bradfird got injured first game of the 2009 season.

And what would that be?
LSU has 4 wins over top 25 teams (before Bowls) to OUs 3, 2 vs the same team

LSU fans tell me all the time it’s impossoble to beat a team twice though, ie Alabama 2011.
Wouldn’t that make OU more impressive?

The year before that would have been crazy had we not been fricked in the Oregon game.

Well they have done WAY WAY better than Michigan over the last 20 years...

Yea and Percy Harvin played on a broken foot. That excuse don't fly for that game.

Um, no. I'm just saying both teams had injuries to their best players. One played at less than 100%, one didn't. It's not a good enough excuse for why they lost the game.

Did you watch Harvin run in that game?
Posted on 1/3/18 at 2:46 pm to castorinho
Yea, he had a great game. He still wasn't 100% though.

Negative: Virginia Tech was ranked higher, and had more wins 3 over ranked teams than Missouri 1

Clearly 07 Missouri is the same as 2011 Alabama

Wasn't that the MU team ranked 1 going into the Big XII Championship Game?
Then had to go to the Cotton because KU bought themselves an Orange Bowl bid?

They were but OU was still favored by 6-7 IIRC.
I don’t know what you mean by KU bought themselves an Orange Bowl, sounds like some stupid message board conspiracy but Kansas did go to Orange

Oklahoma State has to be in the discussion. Any time they have a chance to plan for something meaningful, they always shite the bed...and/or lose to Oklahoma.
2010 - lost to Oklahoma who won the Big 12 and went to the Fiesta Bowl
2011 - lost to Iowa State and and left them out of the National Championship game
2013 - lost to Oklahoma who went to the Sugar Bowl
2015 - lost to Oklahoma who won the Big 12 and went to the Playoff
2016 - lost to Oklahoma who won the Big 12 and went to the Sugar Bowl

The 2011 game does not deserve to be on that list. I don't think any team in that situation would have won that game. Gundy should be commended for playing it actually.

Damn, was about to Post Oklahoma State.
Oregon deserves an honorable mention, too:
2001: Lost to Stanford 49-42 to miss out on a BCS championship game. Finished 11-1.
2005: 10-1 regular season, crushed by USC and ended up in the Holiday Bowl.
2010: Lost to Auburn 22-19 in the BCSNCG
2011: Had a chance to get into the BCSNCG after Alabama lost to LSU the week prior, then gaffed against Stanford.
2012: Undefeated and a chance to go to the BCSNCG after Alabama lost to Texas A&M, blew it against Stanford again.
2013: Ranked #5 in the BCS standings in late November, then got pummeled by 8-5 Arizona 42-16.
2014: Crushed by Ohio State in the CFPNCG.
0 National Championships from a program that had as many as seven shots at it.

It’s close. On paper I think LSU deserved it, but if they played I think Ok would’ve won in a shootout. LSU’s defense was porous.
