I saw it so much on this board I assumed it was rumor only that was started when it became clear we weren't going to sign him. Wheat from chaff problem.

I think Jimmy nailed it, we can't have grade risks at all this year. Probably every year after that. It is one of the overall benefits to CFB that some (whitefoot comes to mind) have identified as an outcome of the new rules. Fewer schools are going to take that risk, recruits have to get their house in order if they are going to pick and choose.

It would explain all the CBs to Ole Miss. one of the only schools that can afford to take the risk and want him as a RB.
