conflict just seems to be a big part of those Mediterranean cultures

bartering, scheming, random angry outbursts etc, all seem common or all of those cultures (Arabs, Persians, Armenians, Greeks, Lebanese, etc)

that culture just has very little chill

Lol, armeinians, Persians, and to a large extent, Arabs are not medeterrainian.

You also left off Spanish and Italian who can be just as bad as the Greeks at times

100% spot on. Every Lebanese person I know is stubborn as an ox, argues like an unhinged prosecutor, and changes between happy and screaming faster than a drive-by shooting. I'm starting to think they're only happy when they're yelling, or they're all hearing impaired (from all the yelling), or both.

If you can handle the ride, though, they are absolutely fun and loving people (hi, honey). Great family values with a heavy emphases on education.
