Yes it does when there's new leadership they want their own people.

Do we even have fitness standards on police forces anymore?
I know this is the South but Jesus H Christ.

If he was smart he would retire.
He could probably work as a security consultant or go work for another area dept that pays more money.
Problem is BRPD does not have the training or seen the level of crimes to be a value to other depts outside of Louisiana.

I’ll make another bold prediction. (actually it’s a cinch and not bold in the least). All of the three new chiefs will be people of color.

Deputy Chief of Police David Hamilton
isn't qualified for the position for obvious reasons.

Starting in 2018, BRPD will move from having just one deputy chief to having three.
So demote him and hire three new guys. WOW
You can bet all three will have one thing in common. Care to guess what that may be?

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I thought in civil service your retirement is based on your 3 highest years earnings?
LSP is the five highest years, so if you're a Colonel for five or more years then get bumped down to Captain, your retirement will be based on your years as a Colonel.

Man I can’t wait for the chocolate city rhetoric to start, glad I got out of that shithole before the collapse happens

Isn't that only for those hired on or after January 1, 2011?
