Why aren’t we desperate for a RB?

I don’t see a melt status line we should have. If we go into next year with the little dude from Catholic, the other dude with 20 career carries without any glimpse of star power, and supposed mini beast mode Curry... we in trouble. Wait til next years class? Ummm... how are we going to survive this season?

We will be fine at RB. Brosette is out to prove something and Curry is a great complement to him. Honestly Curry is the perfect back for us.

I trust the Coaching staffs assessment of our needs before I would ever trust yours. Go melt by yourself somewhere

The fact that the staff is not making it a priority should tell you that they think LSU will be fine at the postition.

We will have 5 running backs on the roster next year. We will not have the star power we’ve gotten accustomed to, but that can’t be solved this year no matter how many backs we sign. Five is enough. And two in this class is plenty.

So our team will finally be forced to have a good pass game next year. We might finally see more pass plays than run plays... You're bummed out about this?

Curry was very coveted and is an elite back. CEH is for real. Tae Provens is underrated. AU wanted him badly and they don’t miss on RBs. Brosette has ability but needs to prove he can be a Sec back. I think CEH is gonna break out tbh.

Just saw Curry's highlights. Dudes just be bouncing off him. Can't wait to see him develop, could be special.

I can see why you feel there should be a little bit of desperation for a good RB. I mean, having LF7 and Guice for 3 season's has given some folks a false sense of what you must have at the RB position. You don't need a All- American rb to win a NC. Just need a good solid back who can red blocks and catch out the backfield and block. Not going to find a back out there coming out of hS who can replace Guice. But having a veteran back with good skills and is a solid player will be plenty good enough to win championships. There's been a few good backs at LSU who were solid and filled the role who were plenty good enough for LSU to win. Jacob Hester, Charles Scott, LSU will be fine with Brousette or whomever wins the starting role.

Brossette has never showed even a glimpse of being above average much less a good sec rb. If he didn’t go to Uhigh he wouldn’t have even got a scholly.

Curry is outstanding, Provens is going to surprise with his jet like speed and will add 10 pounds, and Joiner is the the 3ed best player in Alabama who we could get. These kids are solid, with Cain and Emory likely for 2019. Good shape.
