But I’m not going to lie, I think it’s worse than any of the prequels even though it has moments that are better than anything in the prequels
I am shocked to say this, but I completely agree.
It’s been a LONG time since I’ve been to a see a film this hyped up and left wondering what in the frick I just watched.

I’m nervous about the 65% audience review, oh well, I’m going at 3 tomorrow with the family and will go in positive. Going internet dark for now, fingers crossed.

I have no plans to see this but the back and forth between posters in the four threads for this movie is entertaining af.

Responses to the movie are crazy. A friend on Facebook who is a die hard but rips the prequels and is lukewarm on TFA said its the best movie is the franchise.

Put it like this, when my screening ended last night, there were 2 people trying to start clapping, and it awkwardly faded out when others started booing, but mainly a collective ‘sigh’ of people wondering what shite they just watched.
Movie is so badly paced and useless scenes hang around for what seems like an eternity, I’m just shocked how poorly executed it was as a whole.

This happened at my theater as well. A couple of claps that quickly faded out. Mostly groans.
And my theater was full of people laughing like hyenas all movie long.

That is the issue when you turn the keys to the Ferrari over to a guy whose greatest accomplishments are Looper and 3 episodes of Breaking Bad.

Wow, I'm stunned by the reactions. I don't see it until Saturday, but I'm starting to get worried.

My advice would be to go see it, but temper expectations. This is one of those movies that the modern critics love, but most other people are left wondering if they watched the same film.

I had tempered expectations and I’m shocked at how awful it was
No shite, the best advice is to not see it

From what I can tell, this seems to be the most common summary of it:
As a movie, it is entertaining with some really good highs, however it also has some really bad lows. Just purely as a movie though, it is fun enough to watch.
On the star wars story side, most seem pretty upset with the direction they took it, almost to angry levels.
Accurate?

Nobody clapped with us at the end.
They did clap at the avengers trailer and the star wars crawl.
I am pissed about this and agree with most of you here.
Johnson and Kennedy just ruined Star Wars for me.
The movie was actually good outside of some dumb scenes like Leia. But as a Star Wars movie it was awful.

Exactly... Basically Johnson just gave no fricks about any previous storyline. Made these characters what he wanted.

I guess we now see why Hamill has been so vocal about it. You can tell he hates the direction they took.

I feel like we've discussed the Clone Wars series before. I read one critic that said if you liked the Mortis trilogy, you'll really like this movie. Would you agree with that?
