I wonder if the streaming services are starting to have the same effect the cable channels had on the networks. Meaning, a lot of the talent is preferring to work in that medium due to the freedom it allows, so its watering down what makes it over to the cable guys.

uhhh, i'd argue that better call saul is more than just a "story from the breaking bad world." it's excellent. but i would agree that they don't have much else going for them.

Better Call Saul is one of the best shows on TV
Better Call Saul has become meh as hell. I can't even remember how last season ended. Kim got in a wreck. That's the high point.

AMC's best show is the Breaking Bad marathons.

I loved Mad Men. And I loved TWD initially but it's so repetitive. I haven't seen a single episode of this new season. I keep forgetting about it because it's not exciting.

I liked it when it was actually American Movie Classics. Now the movies are almost unwatchable thanks to the commercials. Idiots will stop a big scene just to run a commercial. Probably pre-programmed, no thinking whatsoever.

It's one of the most commercial-riddled networks out there, that's for sure. If you don't like the movie they're showing, you won't like it for four hours.

It's the worst. And that's why they're doing it, they need as much advertising money as possible.

Last time I watched a movie on AMC at a relatives house years ago - Pulp Fiction - and it took 4 hours...and that's even with stuff edited out.

With all the other options out there is pure laziness to even bother watching a movie on AMC and I doubt many do.

To mark the 10th anniversary of the birth of Breaking Bad, a.k.a. one of the most revered dramas in television history, the network will give you maximum meth, airing all 62 episodes of the series that turned Walter White from harmless chemistry teacher into chilling drug lord. The marathon will officially kick off on Dec. 31, unspooling the episodes in chronological order each weekend through January, wrapping up on Jan. 29.
