I have to admit that he’s better than expected. We actually have a strategy, play to our opponents weaknesses and make in game adjustments. We are not predictable and the season does not fall apart after losing to Bama. This is a much more modern feeling team.

O still needs to recruit and prove that he isn’t a perennial 3-4 loss guy. He does that and he’ll be here a long time. I’m not melting.

He beat a lot of bad teams, beat one decent team and had the worst loss to miss.st. and lost to Troy, hasn't exactly killed it on the recruiting trail this season either.
I think we will know more the next few years if he can get the def to stay the same and get qb play up he will win over a bunch of the haters

Have to give credit for the turnaround even though the Moo State-Syracuse-Troy stretch was the worst football I have seen LSU play in decades. 9-3 in year 1 is passable. Let's win the bowl and finish strong in recruiting and I'll go into 2018 with an open mind.

What rock have you been under. Every day there are several threads by those opposed to Orgeron bitching and moaning and crying.

Thoughts yeah they got 'em. None original but lots of recycled squealing every day.

I was pretty harsh on O after the way the season started but he deserves credit for not letting the team fold, which they very well could have.

There are things that still need to be done but I must give credit when it’s due.

He really has finished strong. A bowl game win will help even more.

Not a fan.

-Shellacked by Mississippi State.
-Embarrassed and outplayed by Troy.
-Won by the skin of our teeth by a crappy, one-man Syracuse team.
-We beat Florida strictly due to their kicker choking.
-We play Auburn, they beat us 9/10 times. We got lucky and faced them that one time.
-"Outplay" Alabama and they still beat us by double digits - it could have been a lot worse.
-Then we beat a bunch of teams who all fired their coaches.

Same thoughts as I'd have regardless of coach. Pull for the Tigers, support the team and coaches and advocate for change when it appears to be justified. Not gonna sit here bitching and devaluing any positives that occur or hope I can bump threads in 3 years just to say I was right. That shite is just pathetic.

It is just not going to end well with coordinators coming in and out. We need to have a Venerables type that stays for his entire tenure

Crappy hire.

You’re aligning yourself with Alleva. Good luck!

I predicted we would go 9-3 before the season. I certainly didn't think two of those losses would be to Mississippi State and Troy. I also didn't think the SEC would be as bad as it was this year.

So, taking that into consideration, I would say he actually was worse than I thought he would be.

I’m still not sold on him. Not even close.

We beat a bad BYU team and a very average Syracuse team and Chattanooga OOC. We also LOST TO TROY.

In conference the only teams we beat that didn’t get a new head coach was Auburn and Ole Miss and they are in such poor shape their only real option was to give the gig to the interim coach.

Bottom line is that this was a very down year in the SEC and LSU still managed to be just average. I don’t see how people thin next year, with a harder schedule and likely a much stronger SEC, will be any better.

Oh, so you’re just one of the guys that hated Miles and convinced yourself the most successful decade in LSU history was some bumbling disaster.

Carry on

Still hate it...as long as Aranda is in town we’ll be fine, it’s what happens after that concerns me.

Recruiting isn’t what I expected. Hell look at the RB, people are booooooooooming over a 3 Star DT with a meh offer list.
