It was time to move on but I don't understand the driven hatred for Les Miles. I truly don't. I have been lucky enough to meet the man dozens of times and have lots of conversations with him. his daughter is always around the softball facilities and Les attends many games. Les truly is one of the most likable people you would ever meet. Extremely nice and beautiful family who are all fantastic people.
While he frustrated the shite out of everyone, and I imagine most coaches do frustrate their fans, he did a lot for LSU football and LSU and the state as a whole. he has been nothing but class about LSU the entire way.
I am trying to find the motivation for why certain posters are constantly looking to attack and shite on him. Les must have not recruited their kids something because it makes no sense
hate his offense and the way he developed QB's, understandable.
Looking to straight up attack and bash the man because you want to see him fail is straight up disgusting. I know every fan base has its bad fans but boy do we see way too much of the fan base's trash on this website

Which is why all he has to do is throw his name out there and tank a couple interviews and he keeps those checks coming.
Again, this is not true. More internet rumors.
All universities know that coaches could do that if they were allowed. So safety provisions are put in the buyout clause to protect the buyout money owed by the university. There is an audit group that monitors Miles efforts and can determine if he is just THROWING his name out there to keep the checks coming or ACTIVELY and VIGOROUSLY looking for a HEAD COACHING position.

Doesn't matter what you think of him as a coach, he doesn't deserve to be in the same sentence as a child rapist. Miles was a good dude and if you can't separate the man from the coach then you have serious issues.

They'll never be able to prove he isn't doing all he can to get a HC job. All he has to do is show the receipts.
He's getting that buyout. Just accept it. LSU already has.

This arse hat is trying to keep himself relevant and in conversation by spewing garbage. He has been a failure everywhere he went, has been fired multiple times and haven't really won anything!
Miles has a national championship ring that he would never come close to... at least not in the near future. So, STFU Kiffin!

Oh, I agree he is getting the buyout and, I accept it. Doesn't bother me.
Just need the MILESTARDS to accept he got fired and sucks as a coach and no one wants him.
Stop with all the MILESTARD excuses for him...LOL

Ok bud. Whatever makes you feel better

I can't speak for Les Miles, I know he likes to coach but I do know he now ENJOYS his free time a lot more as of late. Les has been traveling the country, watching his daughter play softball and take her to prestigious camps as her recruitment is starting. The family has taken a lot more trips compared to normal because Les never had that time before.
I know speaking personally, I would enjoy the reduction of stress and rack in millions not attending work.

If anyone fully understands the intricacies of major collegiate athletics coaching contracts and the auditing processes to ensure buyout provisions, I’m guessing it’s ReelTiger1

Moreover, what are the parameters of his obligations under the buyout provision?

Les has won a natty as a head coach. What has Lane done?
Well, lets see...He got hired and fired by the Oakland Raiders with an outstanding 5 win 15 loss record, spent one full season at Tennessee going 7-6 and making a fool out of himself on several occasions in the process, bolted Tennessee for the bright sunny skies of SoCal to coach USC and impressively made it into his fourth year there before being fired.
Was hired by Alabama to be their OC and was able to keep that job for 3 seasons thanks to Saban keeping Lane and his childish ways under control. And then hired by Florida Atlantic, where he can really act like the immature jackass he is since he's the head coach.
So good old Lane has left death and destruction (due to his childish ways) damn near every place he's been but posters like reel(dumb)tiger gravitate towards folks like that because of, you know, two pears in a pod sort of stuff.

You can bash him all you want but I wish he was our OC....

Those same teams passed on Lane Kiffin... just saying.

From what I understand, the audit groups are University personnel such as board members and or departmental members.

the parameters are more than just a coach making a phone call like fans think. To validate the buyout clause, the coach and his manager or representative have to submit formal letters to the university they are wanting to coach at or receive formal letters from the university to show "just cause" to satisfy the university buy out provisions. Also, a follow up letter from the University of interest must be provided to show no agreement can be made to validate the interview and or interest request.

Lane keeps getting offers for jobs and winning
Yeah, that .562 winning percentage Kiffin has is really impressive. Of course, if you did the math for his winning percentage, you'd probably come up with something more like 75%.

Just the type of classless statement I’d expect from LK.
I hope LK enjoys oblivion.

Does it make you feel better in life that Les doesn't have a job?
You are one pathetic individual

That probably sounded a lot better in Kiffin's head.
