U.S. private employment growth eases but manufacturing shines: ADP
quote:
The report is jointly developed with Moody's Analytics.
"The job market is red hot, with broad-based job gains across industries and company sizes. The only soft spots are in industries being disrupted by technology, brick-and-mortar retailing being the best example," Mark Zandi, chief economist of Moody’s Analytics, said in a statement. "There is a mounting threat that the job market will overheat next year."
Among goods-producing sectors, manufacturing added 40,000 jobs, the most in the ADP series history dating back more than 15 years, while construction shed 4,000.

But the time his 8 years are done, Obozo will look like the worst president in history.

So, another promised kept?
I'm still not tired of winning yet.

If anyone on this board actually understood the global economy and believed in free trade, you’d understand why this isn’t necessarily a good thing for our country.
I suppose I’m glad he’s following up on his promises though, but this really only helps people holding manufacturing jobs who are unable to transfer their skills or learn new ones ... it doesn’t help our economy as a whole.
ETA: Yes, please let the downvotes rain.
It’s hilarious how this board has shifted from being for free trade and making America economically stronger to supporting asinine protectionist policies that only benefit small subsets of society who are too stubborn and unwilling to change their professions to get with the times, all because Trump is President.
I hope none of you downvoting classify yourselves as classical liberals, libertarians, or even Republicans.

All while playing 82 rounds of golf. What a slugger.

Yeah cause the economy is tanking right now.

You’re just showing your ignorance about the topic. The economy is doing well because of optimism about investing, deregulation, and tax cuts ...
Not because of protectionist economic policies.
My point is we could be doing even better than we already are, if Trump wasn’t such a leftist when it came to developing American economic factor endowments.

gotta give Trump credit, some of his regulation rollbacks appear to be having a positive effect on business and manufacturing.

Member when Trump said he'd work to bring back manufacturing?
Yes, I do seem to recall something about that.

How can we be growing manufacturing employment while the horrible evil scourge known as trade deficits continues to rise?!?!
