How can I strengthen my grip?

I feel that I can pick up more on Deadlift, but my grip fails. I use chalk but it only helps so much. I have a set of basic wrist straps but really want to get a stronger grip. Any suggestions?

Pinch Two metal plates together with the slick side out. One handed. Work up to two 45lbs plates

Rock climbing, hanging from a bar, carrying heavy stuff.

I got work, wife and kids, no time for rock climbing. Should I incorporate the Farmer's Walk into my routine and slowly increase weight?

Get in a rack, put a barbell loaded with 135 and grab the center knurl with one hand and hold.
Use double overhand all the time with any pulling movement. I've never done grip work until now and I was able to hold 185 in one hand for 30 seconds.

You could do that. Also, just hang from a bar, bro. Dead hang and see how long you can hold it and just progress from there.

Do as much as you can without straps. Deadlift until you literally can't hold the bar anymore. Also something else that's helped is double overhand, no hook grip, on you deads until the bar just slips out.
Also, for your normal working sets, your grip shouldn't be failing. Knurl on the bar may be caked with chalk also. Check that.

Hook grip. You won't run into grip problems anymore. Thumbs will hurt at first, but once you get used it there's no going back.

1st you need to be using the hook grip. dont listen to these strap using pussies
2nd, farmers carry. Start heavy, but at a weight that you can control for about 100m. When you want to put it down, keep walking.

No, straps have a place. Just be careful with them. Straps make you think your are Hercules .
I would break the straps out sometimes on DLs if I was doing some Joker sets. Became uncool when my back became the weak point instead of grip
