Is that where Bunny Colvin taught that corner kids class?

Jefferson Terrace...Elementary!
Where we learn right from wrong!

Jefferson Terrace...Elementary!
We honor you in song!

Where we try and strive to do our best
At our old school, J.T.!

Why I remember that 30 years later I don't know.

They are having town hall meetings to discuss the future for Jefferson Terrace Elementary and the future school they want to build on their property that is the empty lot over by Blue Cross that is surrounded by the existing neighborhood.

Pretty sure that future is a new school where Jefferson Terrace is.

Went to first through third grade there. Was in first grade when The Challenger blew up. Crazy.

Deuce Midnight went to Jefferson Terrace (K and 1, I believe) when I was in law school.

Good times ...

Wow, this thread is a trip down memory lane! Did K-3 at JT. Very fond memories of Mr. Rumfellow. I do remember the paddle he kept in his office, too. Had Mrs. Jones for 3rd grade. Her favorite punishment was to kiss you. We hated it because she had a mustache. She could also spin blind and peg you between the eyes with chalk or her eraser.

And Brandy Malone. Who didn't have a thing for her? I remember beating her at multiplication tables and she clawed my back up pretty good.

Ended up going the Buchannon Academy to McKinley Middle route as well. Good Times.

This thread is awesome

My little brother went to JT in the late 80s. I went to Mayfair. Our bus would pick us up, then the JT kids. Seemed like it would take forever to get home.

Any of you baws from JT remember Charlie (I think that was his name)? He was an LSU sports nut that rode his bike around all of the time and wasn't all there? I wonder what happened to him.
