Seeing A&M get Jimbo and Ark interview Leach shows how bad Alleva is. Alleva needs to go

There is something to be said about being all in for what you want. We had a chance for Herman, he wanted around 6 million for 5 years, but Alleva avoiding a bidding war with Texas allowed UT to name their price instead of at least making UT pay more for him. I'll never forget that rushed presser so Alleva could try to "save face." He was a coward. He put his own ego over what was best for LSU.

What did Arkansas do differently when their main target was off the table? They gathered themselves and moved down the list and interviewed Leach today. They don't even have an AD and they're doing better than Joe and Fking.

I hope Orgeron does well, and he righted the sinking ship this season, but boy he will be tested like never before next season. Alleva needs to be out if it doesn't work out.

Aleva has a Boss. How do you not know he was told to do things the way they turned out.

I personally believe his bosses screwed the Jimbo hire the first time. The second time I don't think LSU wanted to spend the money.

Say what you will about Jimbo but what he did this season was miraculous.

Nobody else could have ever done it.

He had a losing record 5-6 overall and 3-5 in his conference.

His biggest win was either a 7-point win over Duke or a 7-point win over Wake Forest.

He lost by 32 points to Boston College just a little over a month ago.

And became the second highest paid coach in college football.

That is fricking AMAZING. Aggies gonna Aggy.

So you want Alleva to give Jimbo a guaranteed 10 year $75 million dollar contract or to hire a coach who was fired for abusing his former football players? Man son...you need to check yourself into the nearest psycho ward.

You are under- selling Aleeva here. I have it on very good authority that he shuffles the paper on the left side of his desk to the right side of his desk with the effortless aplomb of a Russian figure skater . Mad skillz, y’all.

Jimbo is overrated and certainly overpaid. Leach is just certifiable.

Alleva need not be blamed for anything here.

I wanted Jimbo sauce but let’s see how O does with Brennan next year.

I wasn’t 100% sold on the Coach O hiring but I’m willing to give him the chance and benefit of the doubt. I want a coach that loves LSU and bleeds purple and gold and that’s coach O.

yea. money grows on trees. in the real world, going "all in" is different from the fantasy world. if going "all in" is offering a 10 contract I think LSU would have been irresponsible and negligent in doing so. it is no just a risky move, it's an EXTREMELY risky move. LSU would have been locked in no matter the circumstances and believe me the circumstances can change in 10 years. a perfect example is Les Miles allowing the program to decline by not firing his friends and allowing our offense to die on the vine.

that's a huge oversimplification. tejas derailed our process by quickly firing Strong because they KNEW Herman wanted to be their coach. why continue negotiations with a guy who wants to be elsewhere. it is a monumental waste of time. you would know that if you ever hired people.

arky hasn't even hired anyone yet and you ASSUME they are doing better than LSU. AND you assume Leach is the man we should have pursued. I, for one, do not like Leach and do not think he would be a great hire for LSU. you do. fine. but to assume he is great doesn't make it so.

personally, I don't believe you.

finally, we agree on something. O will get a couple of more years to prove he's the man. Alleva would retire anyways but i'm sure the big money boosters would want a new AD to select his successor.

Jimbo was not leaving FSU last year. He thought he would be playing for a national championship this year. How is that so hard to understand.

LSU will continue to meddle in the "middle of the pack" until he is out of here.

It's not Alleva...It's the climate and the fan base that makes coaches not want to come here. Sorry but it's the truth.
