I don’t get it
What is the one substantive piece of this that fits a narrative to hire him? He is crazy, he is old, he has never coached in college. Is it some weird Pete Carroll type experiment?

I think they have given up competing and just want to elevate their brand via a guy who will make great sound bites that will get on ESPN.

I watched the presser. It’s all about the new “model” for their athletics program. That is simply code for “we hired the guy because he is a friend of the A.D.”
