Can the President pardon someone for a felony?

That's the point some of us have been making from the jump. POTUS cannot, by definition, obstruct justice since he has absolute pardon power.

Yes. The elder Bush did it to stop a long drawn out investigation. I imagine the media would implode if Trump did what Bush did.

In fact if Trump did the exact same thing the Elder Bush did (Totally Legal), I honestly believe Keith Olberman would have a scanners style stroke live on TV.

Ya'll do know that the President can fire the FBI director for anything and tell him not to do whatever he feels like, right? He can not be accused of obstructing justice when he performs duties under his constitutional authority.

Yeah he can, but good fricking luck with the press and Congress not destroying your arse on it. Gerald Ford pardoned Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton pardoned Marc Rich. If he pardons someone like Flynn at this point in his Presidency, then he will be impeached and kicked out of office. It’s a virtual certainty.
