Got two.

One guy was cutting rebar with a bandsaw, rebar kicks and sticks into his ribcage. Guy whiskey throttles the bandsaw and cuts clean thru his lower leg. He bled out in the minute it took safety to get to us.

Another one is a female rigger helper. Lifting a 40inch pipe in the air, thing gets about 6ft up and is leaning. Instead of setting it down she goes to adjust a choker. Shackle comes loose and pipe falls all the way to the ground and pins her under it right at her abdomen. They got it off her but she made it another 2 weeks suffering in the hospital before she passed.

Friend sleeping in the back of a truck got a load of grain dumped on him in HS. He was at his grandparents farm in Nebraska

Plane crash, trapped inside and burned to death. You could hear them screaming

I had forgotten how many country-fried, blue-collar motherf*****s were fans of LSU... This thread has reminded me.

A house burned down near me two years ago (Xmas eve actually) and the neighbor kicked the door down to go help but couldn’t reach him so an old man ended up burning to death and you could hear him screaming.

Very surreal night, it was Christmas and we just watched a guy die. There was a little girl going around handing cups of water to people as they watched.

I didn’t know the girl, but I knew her husband. She was preg with their first child and he shot her in the head. He’s in Angola now. Named Couty, of course.

Heard of a guy who recently was driving around with a pistol on his lap. The gun went off, shot himself in the leg, shattered his femur, hit a tree and that was all she wrote

Guy busted into my co-worker's apartment and bludgeoned her to death with a claw hammer.

She was like 4'10, 95 lbs....no possible way to defend herself. What kind of piece of shite does that to someone?

A guy I was friends with in middle and high school is set to be executed in February. He arranged the murder of his family for insurance money.

I've known two people who died when they hit horses that were in the road late at night. At least one of them was decapitated when the horse went into his windshield.

I knew a woman who was beaten, burned in her car, body chopped into pieces and thrown in a river.

The catfish farmer she did accounting work for did it when she threatened to turn him in for illegal activities he was doing.

I'd have to say my mother. She was killed in a car accident along with my father and uncle. The three of them were traveling down Whitney Mountain in north Alabama when they had a blow out, lost control, and went over the side which was several hundred feet down. My uncle was driving. He was killed instantly when the roof crushed down on top of him. My father was in the front passenger seat. He was killed when he was thrown halfway out and the car landed on top of him. Basically his entire body above the waste was crushed and ripped apart. He likewise died almost instantaneously. My mother on the other hand, sitting in the back seat was not killed instantly or even on the way down as the car tumbled to the bottom. Instead she was trapped in the car bleeding to death from internal injuries. The accident happened around 1:00 AM and they were not found until the next moring about 7:00 AM. She was still warm when they found her so she had to sit in that car for like six hours with the mutilated corpses of her husband and only brother waiting for her own turn to die.

I've always wondered what was going through her mind during those hours. That's always haunted me.

Damn that’s brutal. I knew a guy that was about 19 and always suffered from mental issues. His parents were going to take him to a mental hospital because he wouldn’t calm down. On the way there he opens the door, jumps out landing on his feet, then smashes the back of his head on the pavement. Worst part is his Dad was holding onto his arm trying to keep him in the car and his Mom was in the car right behind them following along. I would never be able to forget those moments for the rest of my life if I was them.

Thank you. But to be honest I don't remember them any more than I remember your parents. The car accident happened two weeks after my first birthday.

I knew an ambulance driver (EMT) who worked next to a hospital and saw an elderly lady walking towards her car from the hospital. It was an extremely windy day, and she was struggling to walk in it.

He went out to meet her to escort her to her car, which was parked next to a metal portable building. Right after she got in her car, the metal building tipped over off its blocks, pinning him against the car. He lived until they got the building off of him, and he died seconds afterwards.

Nice guy. In high school, I dated a sweet girl that would become his wife. Still bothers me that she has to live with that incident.
