By the playoff committee. Closing in on an 11-2 record and conference championship. Two losses came to a ranked Wazzu team on the road in a tough place to play, and to a Notre Dame team that was a CFP contender most of the season. I’m not saying they should be in, but IMO have a better resume than Penn State and Ohio State, And should be higher. Thoughts?

they got absolutely arse rammed by Notre Dame.

Same reason Penn State shouldn't have gotten in last year after Michigan whooped their arse by 40.

Same reason Ohio State shouldn't get in this year after Iowa whooped them by 30.

Same reason why Alabama shouldn't get in this year after getting arse raped by Auburn. That game wasn't remotely as close as the score. Score would've been a lot worse for Bammer if the refs didn't continually try and save them.

You can't get your arse phucking kicked in and expect to go to the playoff. Close loss or two is forgivable. An anal raping of destruction is not.

Alabama, USC, or Ohio State don't belong this year. Is what it is.

So who gets in if Wisconsin loses to Ohio State tomorrow?

They have not beat any good teams. Stanford is the only team that doesn’t suck that they beat.

There's a lot of 2 loss teams out there. Their schedule isn't nearly as good as Auburn or TCU.

It's debatable if their schedule could be seen as better than Ohio State. There's simply too many teams in front of them at this point. They're not going to jump Auburn at this point.

So, Imagine this scenario:
P5 Conference Champs are:
Ohio State
Auburn
USC
Miami
TCU

USC will jump Penn State thanks to the conference title game. They might have a chance of jumping TCU due to media bias and getting in, but they'd also have to jump media darling 1-loss Alabama.

Odds are, USC will be just on the outside looking in.

Let's hope it doesn't come to that.

I saw Michigan play Wisconsin and Ohio State. Wisconsin was the better, tougher team. I think they pull it out.

Not that impressed with Ohio State. Michigan would've beaten Ohio State if Brandon Peters was cleared of concussion protocol. John O'Korn phucking sucks an AIDS dick and he cost them that game.

USC (assuming they hold on) will have 3 top 25 wins. Ohio State has 2, Penn State has 1. I don’t understand how they are behind these two teams.

I agree with your whole post but I would include that Alabama and Ohio State have shown periods of great play and USC hasn’t. They’re a good team and their ceiling is pretty well known.

I do agree but someone will get in.

As a USC alum, getting handled by ND like we did completely destroyed those types of dreams.

We were manhandled like a Weinstein starlet at an audition.

Because they played the same team twice and beat them. They got their doors blown off by their OOC foe. And the rest of the conference was garbage.

And who is their 3rd top 25 win? I only see Stanford twice.

Seriously, I don't understand why Ohio State is thought somehow far superior to USC.

They have almost identical resumes.

You can make the case Ohio State is better, but the idea their is this gigantic chasm between the two is absurd.

That would be Arizona.. who was ranked 22 when USC beat them. I’m not sure how the committee views these wins, if it’s current top 25 or when the game was played. Their criteria seems so subjective (see Bama’s opener vs Florida State).

Edit: If it’s based on teams currently ranked, Penn State has zero top 25 wins, which gives them an even shitter resume

It’s current. That’s like saying you beat top 10 FSU.

And they played a month ago.

While it's possible that you are correct, I wouldn't base your argument on the Michigan game. Ohio State-Michigan is a rivalry, and they were playing that game in the Big House. So naturally they are going to fight harder and tougher than they would against another opponent.

Ohio State doesnt belong in the conversation unless TCU wins IMO. They have no legit case to be in before Bama. If TCU were to win I think you could make a reasonable case for them over Ohio State as well.
