Score would've been a lot worse for Bammer if the refs didn't continually try and save them.
Disagree completely. Refs terribly favored bama in first half, but it was completely different in 2nd half. Auburn got away with at least 2 pass interference plays, not to mention some other stuff.

That's on their conference.

If the Big Ten hadn't expanded they'd be 12-0 and champions of their conference. There would be no question as to whether or not they'd be going to the playoff. But would they deserve it? Their schedule has been fairly weak up to this point.

Auburn was better that day for sure but I didn’t get the feeling Bama couldn’t be the better team on another day. It felt like a game between two very good teams, maybe the two best teams in the country.

I knew you'd bring up schedule.

What's Bama done?

Showed some weakness against LSU.
MS State took them to the end.
Lost comfortably to Auburn.
Bama has one win over a team with 9 wins.
Bama has actually lost a game.

So what has Bama done to get in?
The "eye test" is such bullshite here too. Bama hasn't looked like some unstoppable force in weeks.

Maybe LSU. That was their best win by far.

LSU lost to Troy at home and got arse blasted by Mississippi State and barely beat a horrible Florida team by 1 point.

That's Alabama's best win.

What bad loss do they have?

I know for sure they didn't lose to Iowa by 31....or Notre Dame by 35....

Everybody last year was alllllll about "But look at that team's losses"...now all of a sudden the losses shouldn't matter and it's all about the wins.

Alabama has played more consistent than both USC and tOSU. You can't just go on the road and lose to teams by 30+ points and it not matter.

I'm using your logic

You literally had to use the word "should've" and accuse the refs of cheating to make Alabama's loss look worse than it did. You were literally just making shite up

Da fuq?

Alabama looked like the clearly inferior team with the clearly inferior QB.

Jalen Hurts can't read a defense to save his life or throw accurately from the pocket. He is a RB playing QB and when he faces an actual defense like the one Auburn has he has no idea what the phuck to do. He's a dear in the headlights. Lost.

Agreed.

While Alabama's schedule is shite.

You can't get blown out...you just can't get blown out and win the National Title.

So rule of thumb, go back to scheduling the Mercers of the world. Because then that will keep you in the playoff hunt.

If Wisconsin loses a close game tomorrow, why should they be left out and Bama is in?

Seriously, what is the totally objective logic of that? I know it is probably a "done deal" with how the seedings have been set up, but what is the logic? Why does Bama deserve that spot in that scenario?

You can’t lose to a five loss team by 35 in the last month of the season.

Hard to have a bad loss when you play no one. The only good team they played they lost to. And by double digits

Any person with a brain knows that Alabama is a more talented team and would beat Wisconsin by at least 17 points on a neutral field.

I mean, it'd be one thing if tOSU had close losses to really good teams, but they lost by double digits at home (to a really good OU team) and lost by 30+ plus to a 7-5 team. I don't understand how people think that shouldn't matter.

That's not the question though.

What did Bama do this season to deserve that nod by not winning its division in a largely forgettable SEC?
