But that's the one thing The Avengers is missing: true tension in the conflict.

I also imagine Thanos destroys most of Thor's ship and that's why Thor floats into space and Banner looks like he crashed back to Earth. Idk about Loki offering the Tesseract, though. Maybe as a peace offering to save the rest of the Asgardians? Or a way to save his own neck?

I will have to whole heartedly disagree with you.
If they inject real tension and danger into these movies and Thanos manages to kill the leaders of the two sides of the civil war at the end of the movie which leaves you at the cliffhanger and they they band together in the next one that is entertaining as frick.
I'd bet alot of money Tony sacrifices himself either to save Cap or to buy him time and then Cap sacrifices himself to save the rest. Book it.

If you watch it in slow motion he's definitely punching an Ironman suit. There are arc reactors and red and gold.

I will give DC one thing though, every single one of their films has been different. I can’t say the same thing about Marvel. That’s the main reason why the latter movie franchise has me fatigued.
