Canada needs LSU more than LSU needs Canada.
He is two years removed from being fired, stayed at Pitt one season and has a bad reputation as a job jumper.
There is no way he would make half the money he makes now at any other school and his rep would be further tarnished.
If he leaves, it will not be by choice.

Unreal the excuses so called fans come up with to justify "their" guy being a complete moron.
Seems to be quite a few excuses for Canada's offense which ranks #80 nationally in points per game.
I just want to try and understand something here.
The guy who was here already and on staff, the guy who was the recruiting coordinator, deserves time and "leeway" because the talent "isn't what it was" gets a pass...but the new guy who recruited really none of these guys (non true freshman) has to go because the offense doesn't score...
rant logic at it's finest

You think the Recruiting Coordinator is responsible for the talent level at a given school?
The RC organizes the recruiting and recruits who the head coach tells him to recruit.
This has nothing to do with O, just fact about college football. You cannot blame the recruiting coordinator, anywhere, if your talent isn't as it should be.
And most of LSU's issues are from attrition, not poor recruiting.

and who ran these young men off?
And it's always excuses...always someone else's fault it seems...

Somebody sure seems to be trying hard to start these Canada rumors.
Just curious, does anyone think of Aranda as a job hopper? He has moved around more frequently than Canada has.

Beat writers and radio guys all seem to think the same thing. You think they're just making it up?
I suppose it could all be made up but they might be spot on as well.

Job hopper sounds like a pejorative. When I say that these highly skilled and highly sought after coordinators are likely to move on sooner rather than later, I don;t mean it as such. They are moving up in their careers and it's why they have had options to move forward.
Unless someone thinks that being the coordinator at LSU is the endgame for these guys, then you have to accept that these guys WILL move sooner rather than later.
That is ONLY a real issue HERE because we have been sold by Orgeron that he'll A) find and hire the best coordinators in the business and B) stay out of what they do and let them coach. That's a system that is unsustainable if what you want is a stable long term program with a real identity, as you're almost certainly going to spend every other year replacing your top guys as they rotate out.

If it’s national people, I’d say who cares. They never know what’s going on inside LSU. But if its’ local guys, maybe. Or maybe they’re just riffing off of the rumors from the Troy fiasco. Just seems weird that a couple threads pop up around this time of year.

I'm not making excuses for anyone. Discussions of factual things that have happened are not excuses.
Orgeron will succeed or fail based on his own abilities. You made a silly strawman argument that had nothing to do with the OP or the discussion of Canada.
And I don't believe Canada will leave.

Why the hell would matt canada leave? Who is going to pay him the kind of money he's making at LSU and I'm sure he has a buyout on to of his base salare if another program did want him. This doesn't make any sense and I believe its fake news. Canada leaving simply doesn't make any sense, especially since he hasn't even finished his first season at LSU yet. It's bulshit.

If Orgeron and Ensminger were trying to undermine me early in the season or even now, I would be looking for a new job.

LSU’s worst enemies are not in Tuscaloosa. They’re right here in Red Stick.

Seriously. If he wanted to leave just because of that, it would be understandable. How often do you hear of a HC changing his OC's offense, especially one that has no expertise in offense?

Aranda is GONE if we don't hire Tom Herman!!
Raymond is GONE this year, DBU is no more!!
Chavis would never leave as long as Les is here!!

Bailing before the ship sinks not doubt. Going to be a shite show of epic proportions on offense next season. You could potentially see a set of bad RBs, inexperienced QB play and still raw WRs that have shown up all this season. Going to look like Florida on offense next year. I'd bail too if he has any high stock left.
Except any RB should be able to run behind our O line next year if Clapp doesn't leave early. If Weathersby stays the O line will be very VERY strong and experienced next year.

Canada would be more effective if he could get the players to spend less time on their end-zone celebration bullshat, and more time learning and executing the plays

Coach E was quoted several times that he had no interest in being promoted full time to the OC. He said that the position took too much time for him at this point in his career. Coach O was quoted several times as acknowledging Coach E's position. So why would either want to "undermine" Coach Canada? The whole Coach O wanted Coach E theory is a joke. Even the rabid Coach O haters here have been saying that it was the Troy game that showed Coach O to be a liar & a meddler. Any HC has the right, and should, make any change that he feels necessary to improve the team. And this lasted ONE HALF. If Canada is this thin skinned, it makes sense why he's hopped around so much in his last few positions. Note: he was basically fired at N.C.State.
