He was awesome. I was very young but I just remember him running all over teams

he was good. it was a different era and lsu hardly ever passed the ball. of course no one else in the SEC did either. LSU has produced a lot of very good backs over the years.

One of my favorite players from the 70's.

He was good... Fast for a big back. Played hard too. Decent NFL back with Bengals.

The man was a beast. His approach to the game and play was every bit as good as what you have read.

Good receiver too... Would have been even more in today's era.

He was very, very good. Big, fast and powerful.
Terry Robiskie and Charles Alexander were the big time backs at LSU I remember from my childhood.

Best rb LSU had since Billy Cannon.
He was a 2 time consensus ALL American.
He was pulled in many games by half time, elsewise he would have had a couple of 300 yard rushing games.
He was pulled in one game near the start of the 2nd quarter with close to 170 yards rushing, if I remember correct.
The LSU offence on 1st and 2nd down were rushing downs, up the middle on first down an sweep on second down. LSU would normally throw only on a 3rd down.
He was a work horse of a running back like H. Walker, big and powerful. He knocked out Tim Ott of Ole Miss in the 1978 game on a run up the middle and Tim was around 6-3 280 DL for Ole Miss.

He was a classic powerback , but a glider for a big man. He ran sweep after sweep and had a great cutback in the open field so he would constantly break long runs . He also just looked ridiculously cool, he wore his jersey short and in a time of three point stances ran behind a fullback with his hands on his hips . As a wee lad he was my hero . He was a superior back.

He was big, powerful, fast. No wiggle in his game at all. A bull running forward, but that was it.

Sorry. No wiggle in his game. A cut back any back could make. I don't mean to say he wasn't a good running back. He was. But he was just a straight ahead bull. It's why he was mediocre in the NFL.

He was incredible. I was a kid, but I remember how hard it was for him to be stopped. One of the best we’ve had.
