Friends have different schedule or they are stuck up their GF's arse. I'm not too social of a person but would like some tips. Never gone out alone.

Tell the group of guys at the Golden Tee Machine that the 2017 courses were better than the 2018 courses and challenge them.

Don’t. You’ll look like a loser and a creep.

Stay in. Save some money. Drink and Netflix. Call Eric, maybe.

Just join up with a group of people and whoever you talk to act like you know another person in the group. Before you know it you're "in."

Go to nicer places that aren't super crowded. Small talk with the bartender and those around you. The rest will fall into place if you are any good at talking to people.. Dont just play on your phone the whole time.

Going out alone is not a big deal. Just have a cover story about your friend bailing at last minute, and let it roll.

Find out when a bar/restaurant is doing something participatory like trivia night or something. It gives you a good in to talk to other folks.

Don't go out to a super crowded bar. Find a nice happy hour where you can find a seat at the bar. Go out when there is a good game or something on TV and then you can make small talk with the people seated around you.

I used to go out alone when I was around your age. Met a lot of people and had a good time. It was after recently moving to a different city, though, which makes it easier imo.

If you do go, make sure you are ready to actually talk to people. Get a little buzz before you go
