Thursday's game marks Samford's fifth all-time meeting against the Tigers and its most recent since losing at No. 17-ranked LSU on Dec. 29, 2006. The Tigers own a 3-1 record in the series, with Samford's victory occurring Dec. 3, 1996, 53-50, under the direction of Head Coach
John Brady, who was later hired at LSU from Samford following the 1996-97 season.

They got destroyed by Arkansas by almost 40 points and beat an absolutely terrible Alabama A&M team by 19 points (A&M won 2 games last year).
This is another game we should dominate start to finish. I hope we get out to another hot start and put them away early.

Nice little article. We will be making the drive from Lafayette.
As we all know Waters was excellent in his debut.
I was also impressed with true freshman Brandon Rachal. Rachal may be our best defender on the perimeter when it's all said and done. He's all of 6'4" 200lbs. and is chizzled. Brandon Sampson looked very comfortable on the wing and will be counted on heavily to produce on both ends of the floor. Reath gives 110% and will be counted on to carry this team down low. Anxious to see where Aaron Epps fits in. We will need him at the forward position to spell Reath. Jeremy Combs finds ways to be productive, but he will struggle against SEC forwards. I love his hustle though. Next year's squad is going to be unreal.

I THINK Samford will give you guys a good game for about a half but lsu wins by 15+.
A Look at the Other Guys
• Samford posted a 20-16 record last year and reached the 20-win plateau for the first time in 11 years.
• The Bulldogs return 12 of their 13 players from a season ago, including 97-percent of their scoring production.
