MIne has been doing this for about a year. Anytime I get below 40%, I risk it shutting off and not being rebootable until I plug it in, then the power shoots back up to 50%.

Same. If I open up Snapchat and my phone is below 40% my phone dies. Think I'm going trade it in and get a Pixel 2 today.

It’s the battery. There is a $40 replacement kit from ifixit that works well.

Message Anyone's iPhone acting up lately? by JawjaTigah I think the overall problem is due to the iOS 11 updates. Lots of bugs that have not yet been fixed. Overdue. Tardy Apple tech support. Uncharacteristic. Disappointing.

Mine is turning into an absolute disaster. Thinking of switching to the Note 8.

My wife's phone had the same battery issue over the summer, she got another while she could still trade it in. In the last two weeks, my phone has started doing the same. Anyone have any issues with missing group text for hours at a time and then they all suddenly come in at once?

I’ve been a huge Apple fan boy for a long time but they are starting to lose me. My last computer has been glitchy from the get go. I had a bad experience with Apple Care and now use Square Trade. Then there is the high priced IPhone X that doesn’t really have any life changing tech that warrants the price. These recent update glitches are just more of the same. I hate this trajectory that they are on.

Apple puts bugs/code in their updates to make older phones slow down and crash. It’s not coincidence.
