At least we dodged the F. Franks bullet, even though at the time we didn't know that.

I remember lots of people saying that we were dodging a bullet at the time. Franks is a loser with a huge ego.

It's crazy to write off a redshirt freshman.

He's not ready to be playing yet. That's not uncommon. And, it's no guarantee that he'll be worthless moving forward.

A whole lot of people said he was a major project and not a big deal to lose him.

Yeah, I'm not going to write off a redshirt freshman QB who was put in a position to fail all year.

1. UF lost their best WR/2nd best WR in the SEC (one of the best in the country IMO), before the season. Then post what had become their best WR got a high ankle sprain in game 4.
2. Coach yanked 3 different QBs in and out of games all year, aka no rhythm, no support, no chance to make a mistake, and fear of making a mistake will get you pulled.
3. Never had even a decent run game to fall back on until the last couple of games, plus no defense to fall back on either.
4. Coach is now fired and the head man is the interim Shannon who didn't really know what a good QB was at Miami. Zaire is immediately named starter, and yanked for Franks after less than 15 passes.

When a team is a dumpster fire, the QB usually suffers greatly. It's the same thing happening with Tennessee.

Anyway, give this guy another year with a stable situation. Even when he was committed to us, I expected him not to start until his redshirt sophomore season anyway. He was way too raw. If he hasn't improved next year, then it might just be him.

Ok, where is your post when FF committed that you can't believe we accepted his offer? And where is your post when he de-commits that you are stoked he de-committed because he isn't good and would be a bust at LSU?

That's why I don't get too excited about the recruiting shenanigan, injuries, discipline issues, transfers, head cases, coaching changes, etc

Put a good product on the field, by signing the best that fit into your system

The biggest crime is that Miles chose him over Shea Patterson

Kelly to Fla. and Gruden to Tenn. sounds like the wet dream of the century for both universities. Especially Gruden, why the frick would he give up what he has on MNF to coach & recruit in college. Makes no sense to me but stupider things have happened, like maybe Kelly to Fla.

ESPN is looking to axe MNF due to costs, so Gruden will soon be unemployed
