One has to be the emergence of Devin White as one of the premier linebackers in the country. Definitely gives you something to watch for each game and also something to look ahead to next season.

We knew White was going to be really good. I would say a bright spot would be the secondary play after losing Adams and White. Greedy, Jackson and Tolliver have been very good this year.

No, you’re right, but there is something satisfying about seeing that happen before your eyes with each successive game. Thing of beauty.

I'm going with the young linemen. They are coming into their own and looking pretty damn good against experienced D lines.

According to the rant, only losing to Bama by 14 was the greatest accomplishment in LSU history.

So I guess that’s a bright spot.

After after early losses this team showed heart and character. No one thought we will be playing for a 10 win season

In addition to the individual players already named here emerging as stars and budding stars, my brightest spot has been to see LSU drag itself out of the bottom of the MSU/Troy barrel to win 3 straight SEC games, play toe to toe with invincible Alabama and win the stats of that game - in short, my bright spot has been the steady team improvement over the season - something we hardly ever saw under CLM.

Orgeron letting Canada call the offense. Since he stopped messing with it the offense has progressed nicely.

So orgeron doing absolutely no coaching has been my bright spot

Just don't see how you can watch that game and not be at least a little optimistic that we moved the ball on them and had our chances. Hasn't been the case in years and getting fired up for the Bama game was totally an exercise in futility.

it's easy. We were never a threat at any point in the game and they were kneeling at the two when the game ended The kicked our arse

You realize the last time we played in Tuscaloosa we scored more points, right?

ETA: To answer OP, I've been happy with the development of our defense throughout the season. We ha d a lot to replace, and they had some very obvious growing pains. I have hope for the offensive scheme as well.

But it is a major concern that we are heavily dependent on elite coordinators. That is not a recipe for long term success.

agree on White. He's not only met but exceeded expectations.

R. Lawrence will also be an absolute monster next year. I know we lose Lac, Gilmore, and Key for next year but I think the DL could be beastly.

The young LBs have gotten some quality reps(Phillips, Taylor)

our young safeties should be really good next year(Delpit, Monroe, Stevens)

The development of the OL gives hope and optimism for next year.

Brennan has shown signs of being a good qb for next year.
