Gage and Chark will be gone.
Insert Giles (transfer from Texas Tech).

I'm a little nervous. Chark and Gage willed the offense to the Auburn win and make at least one clutch play seemingly every game.

On the other hand, Drake and Sullivan have shown flashes and there's Giles who has had a year to learn the offense.

Thoughts?

Marshall and Watkins should contribute. I would think Watkins would take over jet sweep duties but not 100% on that

Think we have tons of talent and Giles will be solid.

Young guys need to continue to develop and we’ll be fine.

Derrick Dillon has two more years as well. has gage potential considering it's his first year playing WR. also mannie netherly, racey mcmath, and dee anderson could hopefully break out next year

Did Giles play in the Texas Bowl the year we played them? I'll gladly take any Texas Tech WR.

yes we get Giles who led Texas Tech in yards and TDs (13) before he transferred. We have Sullivan, Davis and Dillon. If Dee Anderson lives up to his potential he COULD have a monster season. We also lead for the commitment of 5 star WR Terrace Marshall. I think we'll be fine. There will be an adjustment period, but there better not be too much with Miami to start the season.

I think Sullivan is going to be a BIG time target and Giles is going to help stretch the field. Dillon will likely be the jet sweep guy, and some of the others will need to step up.

Not worried at all (assuming the returning guys can continue developing)

Sullivan and Anderson can be matchup nightmares with their size. We've already seen Sullivan run the jet sweep a few times and pick up yards with just his sheer size.

Dillon, while not as adept on the jet sweep as gage, has show flashes as a WR.

Davis is a freak athlete. I don't give a shite if he doesn't know "all the plays". I'd put him one on one with a CB and throw it up. The kid is an explosive leaper who should be able to out jump anyone matched up on him.

The TTU transfer should be the most polished WR of them all. And there are some young guys who we haven't seen yet.

Yes, it will be hard to replace Chark's speed/size combination, but I'm not worried about WR IF LSU plays to the strengths of that group. This is not a group of quick, small guys to try to get in space. This is a group of physical freak shows built to outfight smaller defenders for the ball. I don't give a shite how good of a DB your are. If the WR can't get up over you or "box you out" there is no way to defend it.

Drake has all the talent to be a 1st round pick, but he has not been able to get on the field much. Anyone have any insights as to why? Is it behavioral issues similar to Dee?

I think he was a Freshman. 1 catch for 12 yards.

I feel pretty good. Giles, Davis, Dillon, Sullivan, Anderson, Marshall (hopefully) should make up a pretty damn talented group. With a good bit of experience between them all as well.

Also, don't forget about Randy Moss's son. I know he is a TE, but he is a receiving TE.

Elite next season. It's on the qb whether he can get them the ball. Sullivan Davis and Anderson will be beast. Aside from Dee missing the other two have done nothing but make plays. Limited opportunities due to inexperience. Finishing the season and another summer and fall camp and tbey will be ready

Sullivan will be a STUD, would be next Megatron but will prob be asked to gain lbs and move to TE at next level.. Very excited about him, hes the next great one...

Anderson and Drake could both pan out, both have the measurables..

Transfer from TT and Dillion will be the sweep guys.

Boy from Parkway, beats out Anderson or Drake for #3 guy next season as freshman..

Immediate future is very bright at WR spot, and Brennan will make them look very good.. I think next year we throw the ball alot more.. I think what we need the most is a really good Pass catching TE, has, Desean Smith all those years but Cammeron was an idiot..

I like the idea of getting these taller WR's.. and keeping the smaller shifty guys for the jet sweeps

Eh, not great

Havent seen anyone really step up behind Chark and Gage this year. Anderson I feel like has had it and will transfer. Sullivan seems to be ahead of Davis who just seems MIA at this point but Sullivan has been very inconsistent hands wise to say the least.

Giles should provide a boost and Marshall could start right away.

This is something we really needed in the TE corps. They are all blockers pretty much. Moreau must run about a 5.1 40.
