Sauces: ATM preparing to fire Sumlin
quote:

Kevin Sumlin will not be back as Texas A&M in 2018, and the school has begun making preparations for his departure, team sources tell The Read Optional.

Sumlin has been counting down the days to his departure from Aggieland for close to two years now. Sources at multiple levels of the football administration have been told to prepare for a 2018 season without Sumlin, including notifying the communications department to prepare its strategy, and draft statements, at the conclusion of the season.

It’s anticipated Sumlin will be relieved at the end of the season, with an interim coach named for the Aggies’ Bowl Game, provided the side wins one of its last three games. There is, however, an outside chance that Sumlin could be let go before then, provided the sides come to a mutual agreement...

The decline of LSU will be in motion if they hire the right coach.

Texas will start to have a major influence on LSU's recruitin in texas once they start to see major success. Add TCU and A&M in the mix it will be very difficult.

I am sure many teams would take him in a heart beat

if he does he likely heads back to the PAC 12 IMO

He also made the Pac 10 his bitch every year he coached there. Someone will hire him if he is interested. His view on recruiting might change once he doesn't have to talk people into playing in Oregon.
