I’m guessing Trump directly called him. There are rumors that they talk on an almost daily basis, which I’m almost sure are true. I might believe him here.

He said he spoke to someone "at a high level" in DOJ and they told him Sessions' recusal does not affect Uranium One. I believe Hannity, he is basically a Trump staffer at this point. He either spoke to Sessions or Trump is my guess.
