its damn near unusable. after rolling back from the v2 update (which is horrible) i'm having constant disconnects (even though the urbane is both wifi and bluetooth), super embarrasing when i'm in a meeting and the watch fails to mute my notifications and they go off..wtf? that never happened before.
i say 'play music' and it tries to launch youtube on my phone instead of google music..wtf.
i try to voice text someone and it takes honest-to-god about 30 seconds before it responds and sends it. it used to be almost instantaneous. wtf google. its easier now to voice text on my phone because my watch is so laggy i can never be sure its actually going to send
a quick flick of my wrist brought up 'ok google' and now it takes 4-6 snaps before the phone will react..wtf?
apps constantly crash on the watch. cant count the # of times i glance down at my watch at a white screen.
in short, a once-promising product that used to do a few tasks in snappy way has now become slow and unusable and i have virtually ZERO third-party apps on it and factory reset the damn thing about once a month.
very disappointed. i feel like i'm walking around with a glorified brick on my wrist.

I wanted to get on board with android wear but i think the reason you are seeing issues is because the entire project in general seems to be on the chopping block. Just not enough interest it seems.
The only smartwatches that have any traction at all are apple watches.

You clearly enjoy beta testing bleeding edge technology.

It's probably because you have 700,000 apps on it. Isn't that what you said was causing my android phone's lag issues when I mentioned thinking about switching back to Apple?

What watch do you have? I have a Moto 360 sport with 2.0 on it and it runs fine. My only complaint is battery life sucks. If I use it at all it is almost dead by 6 pm

My google assistant on the watch is arse. It doesn't really work very much any more. Beyond that, the assistant is worse than what I had before. Seriously, it can't tell you sports scores?

Yeah, I can't comment on that, I rarely use the assistant on my phone, and I've only used it a couple of times on my watch to set timers.

That's crazy talk.

I know, I've tried to make an effort to do it, but it doesn't work well on my s6 active. My pixel 2 will be in in a couple of weeks and I'm sure once I get the free home mini I will start using it alot more

OK. Thanks. Just wanted to make sure since you were so insistent on this being the cause of lagging issues for others.

I'm still sorting an OG Moto 360 and it still works great. It never got Android Wear 2.0 though.

My Urbane is running just fine still?
What is so disappointing in 2.0 or whatever? I haven't noticed anything wrong with it?

You seem pretty dumb I'd highly recommend switching to apple

2 basically caused my phone to constantly crash and lose connection to 'google assistant' not to mention terribly slow.
reading forum posts basically everyone else is saying the same thing.
but i guess you have the one magical watch that is somehow immune to all these issues.

Maybe the laws of Androidwear cease to exist on his wrist?
Posted on 11/1/17 at 10:13 am to CAD703X
i thought 2.0 had those issues early on but they cleaned it up.
Posted on 11/1/17 at 11:32 am to CAD703X
I might just be lucky, but I do believe they have fixed all the issues. Though I wouldn't know, as I've never had the issues...
Posted on 11/1/17 at 1:02 pm to BaddestAndvari
i would love a smart watch but there isnt one out there that fits my needs.

I'm just asking for clarification, did you say that Android wear 2.0 made your phone crash?
Or only when trying to use Google assistant on it?
I have never had a crash on my phone or watch with 2.0, but as I stated before, I almost never use the Google assistant
