no dice. looks like the issue is that the video is still *ON MY PHONE* that i was able to upload.

the issue is videos from march that only exist on google photos.

those still wont upload for me. can someone try an older video no longer on their device?

eta uploading from phone is still working, FYI. uploading from PC is not.

Can you link the your YouTube account? I’d like to watch your videos.

do you want to see my 9yo shooting an AK47, the knob creek machinegun shoot or my 16yo's homemade flamethrower from a few month's back?

i also have my wife on food network showing off her food truck and my marriage proposal in NYC that was on NBC Rock Center a few years back.

i am going for quality over quantity here.

i never got it to work from the computer either fwiw. It takes only a second or two and it says upload finished.

But when i go to the video manager it just shows as "preparing upload".

eta yup.

getting screwed twice. its downloading the video from google photos to my phone first (thank goodness i have enough room) then uploading it to youtube.

at least its doing it with a single click instead of me having to download a bunch of crap then upload it myself then go remember to delete it again before it uploads a second copy to google photos.

killed my data for the month with the quickness because of the DOWNLOAD then UPLOAD. i really should have been paying more attention to what my phone was actually doing instead of leaving it sitting on my desk.

So I have used a Google phone (Nexus 6) running PURE vanilla google android; allowed it to upload my PHONE videos..creating with the STOCK google camera..to the stock GOOGLE PHOTOS account associated with my gmail..then used GOOGLE CHROME to click the "UPLOAD TO YOUTUBE" option from my GOOGLE PHOTOS using my GOOGLE CHROMEBOOK to push a couple of videos to YOUTUBE.

Funny. I share to YouTube from my iOS Apple Photos app with no problems. Wish they would add a YouTube share extension to MacOS Apple Photos.

If you read through the thread he didn't have any problem with the phone app either. Only on the computer.

which sucks because i reformat my phone once a month so there's virtually NOTHING on it so any youtube upload first involves DOWNLOADING THE ENTIRE VIDEO from google photos first.

pure ignorance you cant just shoot it from cloud A to cloud B without having to copy the file down locally.
