We welcome any children to trick or treat at our home. The more the merrier. Nothing worse than going all out on your decorations and only a few children show up. We sit outside in costume, drink wine, beer and drinks with our neighbors and make an evening of it. Good times.

Eta: Lots of kids not from the neighborhood live in apartments. The neighborhood experince is priceless for these kids.

It really is terrible how many downvotes my original post got. Shows how shitty this board is.

OT Ballers all of a sudden care about a $10 bag of candy.

Might be the best day of some poor kids life.

Try and make friends with people in better neighborhoods. Make inroads. Act civilized. Make myself and my kids people that get invited to decent neighborhoods by decent families.

What I wouldn’t do is group myself With a bunch of trash, load up umpteen little shits, half of them way too old and no costume, into ecalades and buses.

Then invade, unwanted and uninvited, neighborhoods where people who actually put forth effort and money and actually give a shite have built their functioning community.

And proceed to shite all over it.

That’s not how you engender yourself to a community.

Have we decided if it’s bused or bussed?

Because words are just words, they don’t “belong” to any one group, any word should be able to be said by anyone, the censorship of certain words and not others is stupid.

Because some people are overly sensitive and mentally weaker than others

With any imagination, they'd have fun with it. Scare the crap out of kids...

My biggest issue is the street becomes so congested with cars it's really unsafe. Eventually somebody will run a kid over. The lazy arse parents drive their kids from house to house.

This. I have zombies, smoke machines, flying stuff, all kinds of contraptions I speed time making(ski lift ghosts powered by kitchenaid motors) and black lights all over.
I may get ten kids total.

Eta- I had that. My lawn guy came this morning and totally didn't listen when I said don't cut the front.
I have an orgy of zombies piled up. Arghhh.

Why can't they have a nice night in their own neighborhood?

Better yet, why don't you quit being a whiny little bitch and go to those neighborhoods to pass out candy if you're so concerned about it?

Because the few bad ones ruin it for all. If all the kids were respectful It wouldn’t be a problem.

I however don’t have this problem b/c I live in a gated community.

Not all black peoples, just the TPOS ones that still haven't mastered the concepts of being polite, respecting others, using good manners and saying thank you.
I understand for some it's a fairly difficult concept to get a hold of, but it seems others do ok with it.

In other words, go frick yourself.

My neighborhood in Columbia coordinates with some of the impoverished neighborhoods in the area to have them bus kids in so they can trick or treat in our neighborhood... instead of at trap houses. Folks in this neighborhood go all out for Halloween and they love it. I don't mind it, the parents who bring their kids are usually thankful for a welcoming and safe place to bring their kids and the kids are usually always respectful and well-behaved. Last year I bought 4 of the really big bags of candy and ran out before 7:00 handing out 2 pieces per child. They usually expect about 1,000 kids each Halloween. It's crazy but it's nice to see those kids get to have a good night, too.

Hey. That condescending tone is uncalled for, and you need to apologize to SS.

Those disparaging words are uncalled for. That language isn’t needed nor appreciated on this board.

You need to calm down Bozo.

Few? No, it isn’t a few. If it was a few people would be more willing to overlook it.

It’s a plurality, at least
