Sorry, but the Chinese have a notoriously shite taste in film. I don't trust anything they say.

I don't understand the DC vs. Marvel fake rivalry - wouldn't success in one franchise seem to generate new fans to the genre and increase the audience for the other franchise and so on. (The headline in the first link says Marvel should panic).

Are there people that only attend Marvel Universe movies and vice versa? This isn't like the iphone or game console battle where people will likely only have one).

I have been giving the movie the benefit of the doubt, based on how good WW was.

But for some reason, all those write ups make me think the movie is going to be shite. They feel contrived and manufactured.

Can't put my finger on it, but it just does.

Hope I'm wrong

Lol.

I love propaganda.

This reads like the pre reviews for the all women ghostbusters

Trying to get pre-press buzz from the Chinese is the siren.

This film will be like dropping a beautiful chess board with golden playing pieces into Pointe Coupee Parish. The people will not understand its purpose or concepts but marvel at its different strangeness and gleaming beauty. It will naturally inspire fear or derision by some.

Has there ever been a negative reaction from a screening?

It's to generate buzz and people are on cloud 9 for being able to go to an exclusive event. Their judgement is clouded

BvS and Suicide Squad both had rave reviews from screeners

Also, I love watching the People Vs George Lucas documentary. They go back and talk about this exact subject and played fans reactions from private screenings for Episode 1. It was LoL funny to see everyone saying how amazing it was

Agreed. It's absurd, and quite comical, seeing grown men fighting over comic book films.

That's the thing with Chinese audiences. A half hour later, you're hungry for another.

Early reviews and "bringing in fans for previews" is just always hyperbole and bluster from fanboys.

Yeah...I'm sure this is the new Gone with the Wind or Godfather.

I remember the fanboys they brought in for Phantom Menace for early reviews and everyone was saying it was the best Star Wars ever.

We live in an exaggerated age of GOAT and hyperbole to what just happened 5 minutes ago.

"A film to wait your whole life for?" Is that person for real?
