Yet, only two coaches have consistently won there.

IDK what happened at UF with McElwain. He went to CSU, where he took over a 3-9 team, and proceeded to go 4-8, 8-6, then 10-3. That's pretty damn impressive.

Fla would be smart to call Mike Gundy

What coach is going to step into that situation where winning the East two out his first three years isn't good enough?

Sure it is. Florida fans want a pretty offense and Jimmy Mac hasn't delivered that.

...

No, its about his relationships with the UAA, the other Athletic programs at UF, and things hes done behind the scenes that have pissed a lot of people off.

The press conference Monday was a big deal and UF didn't take his insinuation of death threats lightly.

If you guys were 6-1 or 7-0, you wouldn't be trying to run him out.

It's not the firing of coaches that has turned the SEC to shite, it's terrible hires after those firings.

You better get a guaranteed stud or you're gonna set the program even further back with a risky hire.

It certainly seems a little early to pull the plug on Jimmy Mac. He's got a top ten recruiting class coming in and young studs on offense that are only going to get better.

If UF and Sexton are talking it is a mutual thing. If UF wanted him out then they would just fire him and pay him.

Why would he negotiate a buyout? If they are going to fire him anyway why not make them pay every penny?

They probably weren’t going to fire him. He just likely wants out and they don’t want a coach who doesn’t want to be there. Best for both parties to move on

Agree. Scott Stricklin is a very "stand-up" type of guy and I don't think he is tolerating McElwain's shite.

Not shocking, it's just not a good fit for him. He'll end up on the west coast somewhere.

A dude with yellow teeth not a fit for Florida? He's really going to have trouble on the West Coast.

$13 million I think before the negotiations supposedly started.

McElwain better be careful. At some point, it's just cheaper to throw him in a shark tank and act shocked and saddened.

I would LOVE Florida to hire Dan Mullen. He just doesn’t have the personality to recruit them into a dynasty. Neither does Chip Kelly, but his skins on the wall and offensive genius could have them playing for natties real quick. I’d rather have him just about anywhere but Gainesville.
