Exactly.
You just don't see those football players majoring in the top majors at those schools.
Pretty simple.

quote:The difference in a kid that made a 29 on the ACT and a Ivy League kid that made a 33 is almost marginal. The reason that they can't get in ordinarily is because that they are only taking in 1200 student or so.

Score Number of Students Percentage of All Test Takers
36 2,760 0.136%
35 12,386 0.610%
34 20,499 1.010%
33 26,920 1.326%
So if every Ivy League school is only taking 1500-2000 per class max, that is only 16,000 kids. As you can see there are 60k kids in the top four score brackets.

I'm actually not too sure I understand how to use the ACT.
I just know it from an SAT standpoint but very interesting.
And from my own experience I have 2 family members who played Ivy League ball.
Both were mediocre students 3.2/3.5 GPAs (in this current time with AP whatnot, thats mediocre) and made 1200s on their SATS.
One went to Penn one to Yale.
One that went to Penn tried to get into Wharton/major in business but that wasn't happening.
He also said the coach steered him towards a BA in Sociology

Did you actually read the article? It was obviously tongue in cheek. Do you read stuff on the Onion and take it at face value too?
Sounds more like you and a bunch of others who didn't read the article are the true snowflakes.![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

You aren't going to see an Engineering Major from MIT (yes I know not Ivy) or a Business major from Wharton acting like this.
