The only thing I would add to this is loss of:reverence of our flag and country. General Kelly spot on, nailed the deep loss of sacred things in our country.

quote:

You know, when I was a kid growing up, a lot of things were sacred in our country.

--Women were sacred, looked upon with great honor. That’s obviously not the case anymore as we see from recent cases.

--Life — the dignity of life — is sacred. That’s gone.

--Religion, that seems to be gone as well.

--Gold Star families, I think that left in the convention over the summer. But I just thought — the selfless devotion that brings a man or woman to die on the battlefield, I just thought that that might be sacred.

Also, if you listen very carefully it is quite clear-- the Congresswoman took it out of context to politicize. After this Statement from General Kelly; she then walks to cameras and proclaims she is a rock star. STOP defending this trifling garbage.

Why can't the democrats come together to bring back what we should hold sacred in this country?

For the same reasons that we are tearing down statutes that offend no one until they were told to be offended. The agenda is to destroy this country.

Stay woke, my friend.

Great post CA.

Dunkle is right, Dems do as they're told. Their pimps lead them lock, stock, and barrel to the feed trough.

It's sad and funny to watch. I'm afraid the sad outweighs the funny because it is succeeding in dividing our country.

Meh. He is glossing over details from when he was younger like a lot of people. The abuse of women goes back well before Harvey Weinstein.

There have been persecutions and injustices carried out in the name of religion since mankind existed.

I understand the point and when it got to gold star families and the like it made sense, but we really need to stop with the "life was awesome" nonsense.

Until the base of the DEMOCRAT party rises up and rejects this scum that has overtaken them, I will henceforth suppose that ANYONE who sides with the prog/DEM/MSM cabal is fully in support of their divisive, anti-American, depravity.

This is perhaps the touchstone where anyone who deserves to be treated as a decent human being can decide which path to take.

I have no sympathy for anyone choosing to align with the filthy scum.

Because Trump is a master of division . He was called out on it yesterday by two former presidents.

I do believe Trump was taken out of context to one extent or another, but I also wouldn't be surprised if he said some of the wrong things and came off as insensitive. Consoling the family in this situation is already a hard thing to do (and Trump already seems to be lacking that empathy gene or something)but. a president should be able to pull it off.
He should have talked it out with her (the widow) even after the allegations instead of going into full attack mode. I mean, he wants to be about patriotism, this would have been a good time to take the high road but he just doesn't seem capable of doing that in any circumstance. You have to be the bigger man sometimes.

You will eventually learn that white democrats are the worst human beings in our country. They gleefully support a communist cultural takeover of our American values.

For the sake of vote farming, they keep stirring up racial divide. They scream that white people are evil and need to go away, while convincing black people that it's 1840 and they've nothing going for them because all white people (except white democrats) are vile racists.

I was fortunate enough to talk to one of the deceased soldier's former teammates today. He said that they would've appreciated the honesty from the President. The conversation was cut short by one of my left-wing coworkers who happened to be offended that the special forces guy's opinion seemed to be given more weight than his due to his service in the marine corps as a cook during the 80s. I don't really know what my coworkers MOS was but he looks like a cook. I just see a wasted opportunity to talk to someone with intimate knowledge of the mission who has spent time in that theatre. I'm hoping to get a chance to talk to the special forces guy's again. One other thing he was close friends with the deceased. My shithead coworker was too busy arguing with the guy to acknowledge that he's probably grieving for his friends.

I actually like General Kelly and think his record speaks volumes. He's a man of integrity and I'm hoping his influence will rub off on Trump.

" Back in my day" women were so sacred husbands could rape their wives without punishment & before that couldn't vote either.

Life was so sacred that we marched tens of thousands off to die in Korea / Vietnam . Lightweights compared to the "sacredness" of life during WW1 & WW2 the generation before.

Religion. We all remember the cross burnings , decades of quiet pedophile sex abuse in the Catholic Church,etc...

I bet Kelly's favorite TV show growing up was Leave It To Beaver also.

The fictitious " good old days" huh soldier boy?
