I don't like the ref having him in a bear hug, then Marshawn gives him a small shove not even extending arms, Marshawn also seems to then realize oh shite its a ref and grabs the refs right arm and pulls him back like my bad.

I’m pretty surprised by some of the responses in this thread.
Anyone who has ever played any sport knows damn well that you never lay a finger on an official, no matter how light. It’s an auto-ejection. Without even thinking. And if the NFL shows that it’s okay to touch an official when you’re pissed off, it will become a regular occurrence.
The hammer should be dropped on Marshawn. Hard. But you never know with the NFL these days. There’s no standardization for punishment. It’s all arbitrary, and there is much arse to be kissed with the players’ union. So... fine, yes. Suspension? Who knows?
But not a big deal? Get out of here with that shite. Marshawn proves once again that he is one of the league’s leading assholes.
