If this market cared about this team, there's no chance this would be tolerated

Do you think management and ownership could get away with this shite for THIS long, if this was a market that gave two fricks about its team?

frick, New York was a dumpster fire and Phil Jackson, the coach with the most championships in history, was fired after THREE years.

Dell Demps has been here for over SEVEN years.

It is amazing that no one gives a shite about its professional franchise, and it receives absolutely no pressure whatsoever from any fans, media, national media...no one.

It is so goddamned frustrating that this absolute farce can go on for so long.

Sorry guys. I am mad as hell today. Venting.

Step away from that ledge Bunch. Let's go to Walk-On's and talk about our feelings.

Davis falling into his lap gave Demps a free pass for a long time. Everybody figured Davis would be the best player in the league someday and great players always win. All he had to do was keep Davis happy. Now they are just stuck and this is a critical time for the franchise. I'm just wondering if/when they will make a move. But probably won't be for awhile..

Did you expect anything different this season? Really?

If Dell and Alvin haven't been fired yet, they're not going to be.

Just enjoy your future Seattle Supersonics for the next few years you get to have them.

Damn brah, you just hit Step 2 with Anger. Most of us have been dwelling in depression or starting to see sunlight with acceptance.

If they start something like 1-5 its time to show up to the Blender with bags on our heads and a "Fire Gentry/Dump Demps" Banner. Every year is the same story. This team is just not ready to compete. Gentry is literally the worst coach in the league by a country mile and the FO just doesn't get it.

I said they wouldn't and he has likely bought himself time. Not that they shouldn't.

I've been 100% fire Dell for like 3-4 years now.

It’s been pretty clear for years that Dell Demps doesn’t know what he hell he’s doing, so it’s amazing he hasn’t been fired. And it may be hard to fire him if he didn’t know what he was doing but the team was winning... but the team has been bad for years. He doesn’t have a clue AND he hasn’t produced results. He should have been canned a long time ago.

It’s really unbelievable.

From that thread, page 4, me:

quote:

And to be fair, I'm 100% behind canning Gentry and Dell. Gentry is a bum, and I melted when we hired him, and my opinions were confirmed.

Dell saved his job by trading for Cousins, but like I've said a few times, I'm the guy that has started two season long Fire Dell Demps threads. Obviously I'm not a fan.

We need a Pres of Basketball Ops with an outside opinion, desperately, that doesn't need Loomis to fricking do shite, that operates independently of him.

It just isn't going to happen, it seems.

So...uhhhhhhh

I was arguing against TANKING.

Not for retaining Gentry and Dell. Might want to re-read my man.

You also said:

quote:

I've been one of the guys leading the charge to fire Demps/Gentry and to tank.

But things changed once we traded for Cousins. Practical and personality concerns come in to play.

quote:

Dell saved his job by trading for Cousins,

you might want to read again. You either want them fired or you don't. You were pretty clear that trade saved their jobs, for some reason.

when talking about this

AKA we could not tank once we acquired Cousins because AD and Cousins would have lost their shite.

quote:

Dell saved his job by trading for Cousins,

Yes, that was true. He did save his job by trading for Cousins.

I also said in the same thread I PERSONALLY was 100% for firing him. Just that he would NOT be, and that he had saved his job with the trade.

Not that I personally would have kept him.

So, you're wrong. There has never, ever been a second where I was PERSONALLY in favor of keeping Demps.

Like, ever.

I think I even bumped my Fire Dell Demps thread after the Cousins trade saying I still wanted him fired and got downvoted into oblivion

That was a statement of fact numbskull. I think that’s pretty clear.
