WWL-TV contributor Ralph Malborough makes an interesting point...
the NFC looks to be incredibly weak this season (much like 2006)... so 9-7 may be enough to get into the playoffs
of course if the Saints can keep playing like they are... esp. on D... this could make for a very entertaining season

There are some on here butt hurt because they would rather the Saints lose so they can get rid of Sean Payton,
Ain't happening. Sean finally drafted well, especially on defense, this team is capable of scoring TD's in every way imaginable, on offense, defense and special teams.
Had to rib a little, about the lack of excitement here. Is this a man cave or a morgue?

Appreciate the compliment, enjoy reading yours too don't know why so many fans are so fearful of this season, the schedule really helps them

I think everyone is very pumped but still cautious about this team going through the season. This team hasn't done it consistently in 4 years. I think we have a shot to make it to 6-2 and if they do that winning games they should, they'll have a lot of people really believing this organization has finally figured out how to right the ship.

I look at the schedule and I see a lot of very winnable games.
I think the Falcons will go about 8-8 or 9-7, same with Carolina. Saints get to 10-6 or 11-5.

Every game is winnable. For every team (unless you're the Browns). I just prefer to take it one game at a time. I'm still not convinced this is the Saint's real defense yet...it's just a bad hallucination.

considering the last few seasons... that's warranted

Just read the majority of responses and threads, they show fans' hesitation to embrace the Saints as a playoff team, that's out of fear. Just as for example there are LSU fans who hesitate to embrace Orgeron as a college head coach, that's out of fear, that he may not be.
I hope I was specific enough.

I am 100% positive
Saints take care of business and beat a Rodgerless GB and win at home against a 1 dimensional Chicago team to get to 5-2 and the entire boards dynamic will drastically change
If the Saints drop either game the melt will be out of this world and I do not promise that I will not be a part of it.

We shouldn't celebrate until they secure a spot.
Too much have gone wrong in the past for anything to be "guaranteed" until it's actually guaranteed.

Nope don't have time to wait that long. Brees seasons are now like the Casa Bonita South Park episode.
Drew Brees is Cartman running away from the police trying to get everything in before Father Time inevitably gets him.
at 5-2 my living room turns into FAP city...I almost prematurely launched it this past weekend before The offense and special teams turned my lotion into sandpaper.

We just eclipsed .500 for the fist time since 2013. One step at a time. The fan base is right to be cautious.

Maybe it's because in their three victories they've beaten a panther team without it's top two recievers, Jay Cutler and an injured Matthew Stafford. I'll get excited when I see the defense play well against a decent quarterback who isn't injured and has all of his weapons availableto him.
