I'll take the hit.
Shannon says that Boogie will be traded for Tristan Thompson + Brooklyn pick orrrrr AD for same package + anyone other than Lebron. Also, something about grass turning into cheese and Skip having no idea what he's talking about.
Skip esssentially said Leonard > Lebron.

Welcome Please don't blind link to either videos or articles. Give us an idea of what we're clicking on.
As far as what Shannon Sharpe said, Thompson and the Nets 1st for Cousins, that's probably not a bad trade if the season goes to hell, but things would have to go badly enough that that trade is made by Interim GM Danny Ferry. Dell Demps is riding this core as far as it will take him.

Welcome!
Word of advice, if you want street cred, go find a thread mentioning anything Rockets related and troll a guy named "Boomshakalaka"
As for the trade, every media outlet is trying to ship either Boogie or AD or both out of New Orleans. But Ill tell you, neither Boogie nor AD are getting traded this season. Period.

I wish I could believe in a world where the Cavs would give us the Brooklyn pick and Thompson for Cousins. Thompson is actually a pretty good fit next to Davis. Then two shots at the 1st pick (Porter). Plus we would have some cash to build a bench. Not even saying a new GM and coaching staff. If only..

You’re a strange guy.
Pels could have that deal anytime they want it.

I don't believe that. There is no way the Cavs trade that pick before James commits to them beyond this season. They would have no hope to re-sign Cousins (who is going to sign with Washington this summer anyway) if James left. They aren't giving it away for a one year rental..

Such a statement doesn't deserve a response, but I'll bite anyways. Why do you expect Boogie to leave for Washington ?

Washington would have to trade for Cousins. I’m pretty sure their cap situation is one where the have no way to sign him. Considering our cap situation the Pels wouldn’t be in a position to do him that favor even if they were so inclined. They’d probably have to get a Porter package for there to be enough salary to motivate them. I’m not even sure the Pels want/can afford Porter while being stuck with Hill. If Cousins is going to Washington it almost has to happen during the season when he’d be making $12 million less than he will as part of a S&T.

This is just the wrong mindset. Look at the Rockets. Top 10 in payroll every year, with no room. But they are still in the hunt for the top free agents every year, cause Morey makes it happen. The Wiz are paying Gortat and Mahinmi a combined 30M. You are saying there is no way they can shed that?
I still don't understand our confidence in resigning Cousins. His agent flat out told teams if they traded for him, he wouldn't resign. We cost him tons of money making that trade. Why would he bluff? As far as why Washington? It is a top 3-4 seeded team in the East that cake walks into the playoffs. His BF in the world, Wall, is on the team. He will still get a monster contract in a huge market. It's as likely as anywhere else..

Because, he didn't want teams to trade for him? That's reason enough to bluff. But it happened, and there aren't many teams with cap space next season.

Teams don't have a huge amount of cap space next season, they would have to trade multiple 1sts to get off of Mahinmi alone, and at least 1 to get off of Gortat.
Washington would have to shed 42+ mil in guaranteed contracts in order to offer Boogie a max deal. Good luck with that.

I’d have to take a closer look, but in addition to being similarly capped out and bumping the tax like the pelicans I think the wizards are also similarly asset poor like the pelicans. So yes I do think they would have a hard time moving 2 high paid centers in a trade environment where no high-priced centers are moving.
To add to what epic said, his agent was bluffing because if Sacramento did not trade him he’d have forced them to offer the big-money extension and made about 50 million more dollars.

With pretty much every superstar taking less than max money, you don't think it is a credible threat?

Are you referring to the handful of old star but not superstar players that no team wants to give a full max so they "just" got near max money on shorter deals? Or maybe you think KD taking a little less on a short deal to ensure another ring is a widespread thing? Because it's not. Most guys are not taking less money and after Boogie lost $50 million by being traded, I assure you that he is not going to take a paycut to play with Wall instead of AD and Rondo.

Which stars, in their prime, took less than the max? KD is the only one that I know of.
Even if Cousins took 5mil less than the max, the Wizards would have to get off of Gortat, Mahinmi, and Morris, not to mention every non-guaranteed contract they have. That would not be an easy feat. If they are wanting Cousins, they'll have to trade for him.
Also, you mentioned Morey earlier in regards to making moves without cap space. He actually failed to make the Melo move this offseason because he couldn't get off of Ryan Anderson's contract.

Washington doesn't have the room to sign Boogie. They have $71M committed to Wall/Porter/Beal. Boogie's $30M doesn't fit under a projected $103M cap even if they had nothing but minimums for the rest of the roster, which they don't. They have $30M in Mahinimi/Gortat and other salaries with no assets to dump.
ETA - If the Pels aren't working out, my hope is that Beal and Wall conflict again such that the Wizards entertain a Boogie for Beal based trade.
