Realistically 9-3 is the ceiling for this team, in spite of all this "playoff talk". Beating Alabama in Tuscaloosa is a tall order, and becomes even more unlikely if LSU beats Ole Miss and the game becomes relevant.

So, we’re either getting better or getting lucky. Im choosing to believe we are getting better. That said we only lose to Bama and we finish 9-3. The sad part will be that we should have finished 10-2

One Game at a Time Grandpa.

We won't even know what this team's end-result potential is until we emerge out of Oxford.

Remember when steady Mettenberger kept forcing the passes in Oxford and got picked in the end zone to kill so many drives? Weird things happen to our most reliable players there . . .

Why can't you just address one post without crying about how poorly Orgeron's being treated or crying about Les Miles?

I can see us now winning every game except Bama...I hope we're at least competent on offense against Bama.

Ive said it since the Miss St game, this is the year we beat Bama. Im not saying we end up 10-2, because I think weve still got a couple of losses coming, but I think we get Bama this year.

My prediction.

Ole Miss - L
Bama - W
Arky - W
Ten - L
A&M - W.

LSU can beat any remaining team except Alabama.

LSU is 5-2 (2-1) : I say the Tigers lose to Alabama and drop one other SEC game.

Finish Regular season : 8-4 ( 5-3).

I exspect a loss to Bama but to be competitive (at a minimum) in all other games.

See Troy State, and yes knowing what they did against Florida and Auburn will temper expectations.

what made you finally sign up when you did?

It was the CC board of 2016. I lurked for almost as long as I knew this site existed, but after the online sauces battle between DALSU and Random, it just got far too entertaining to not be involved.

But question my fanhood all you want. I'm used to catching shite. I have proudly stood up for LSU for years in the heart of Sooner country where LSU is more inexplicably hated than logic can explain. Just before the 2003 NCG was absolutely the worst, but the hate was more widespread afterwards.

I met Les Miles at Oklahoma State before Saban even won his natty at LSU. Then I met him again at the last women's CWS in OKC. And I met Mickey Joseph while he still coached nearby at Langston.

I proudly wear my P&G when I travel for work, including frequent trips to NW Arkansas where the hate is probably stronger towards LSU than anywhere else I've ever been.

So go ahead and question me, hate on me, whatever. If we ever run into each other in person, I'll buy you a beer and we can reminisce about the Dinardo years.

To say if we win out we would "need help" is retarded.

If we win out and beat Bama at Bama and an undefeated UGA in the SECCG. We will be seen as a team that made tremendous strides under a first year head coach who had to let his coordinators run their sides of the ball.
A mid season oline shift allowed the SENIOR QB to play his best games.
And a healthy DG got back on track and got in the heisman race.

It wont happen but its not the craziest thought. We lost 2 triple OT games in 07 and still won it all for fricks sake

I'm just gonna (hopefully) enjoy an Ole Miss arse whipping but hope to see continued improvement on the defense.
