It's my OPINION that your OPINION is shite and would get you laughed at by anybody with any football knowledge what so ever.
Brady did have a fantastic defense when he first started, but people who would have burned out in the first 4 years don't have top 10 QB seasons at age 36 plus.
Brady was a 6th round draft pick. If Bledsoe doesnt go down, he likely never becomes Brady....
Lets say Brady was drafted by Green Bay or Indy, he honestly never prolly becomes anything. He would have sat behind QBs that never got hurt, and as a 6th rounder, nobody would have moved pieces to get him

Uh because I've watched all of Rodgers' games and a lot of Favre's and have seen some of the little things Favre would do, Rodgers has picked up on. Favre would draw defenses offsides and would snap the ball quickly to get a 12 men on the defense penalty. Rodgers has taken that to another level, no doubt in my mind he learned that from Brett.

Even as a 1st rounder, Rodgers was made to sit for, what, 3 or 4 years? At some point, you realize the talent you have and you go with it. Or you trade him and he starts elsewhere.
You're right that Brady doesn't become what he is now most likely which is GOAT/5 SBs and all that, but I think talent wins out, and he still would have risen to the ranks of the best QBs in the league no matter where he ended up...except for Cleveland of course.

If Brady would have hit free agency, because the QB in front of him never got hurt, he would have only got action as a potential backup as a 6th rounder....
The packers had to start Rodgers or be willing to give him up
That situation would have never presented itself with Brady
But like you said there is a chance talent would have been found, like Kurt warner

quote:you realize that if he goes to green bay he sits behind favre until he retires and takes over there. Indy wouldn't start him because they had Peyton and even if they did you don't think people would inquire on Brady whenever they saw him play in pre season? You do realize tom brady would still be brady without belichick right? The guy has a very high football iq plus arm and great accuracy and he absolutely LOVES football which makes him a natural leader that his team rallies behind. Coaches can pick up on these things believe it or not. I understand in this part of the country some people hate the pats and brady but don't act like the guy who you could argue is the best to ever play his position would never start if he went to a different team. That's asinine.

quote:I guess my point is, the only or main reason they made that surprising move to go with Rodgers is IMO not because he was a 1st rounder but because they saw his insane talent in practice every day.
The packers had to start Rodgers or be willing to give him up
That would eventually have been seen in Brady as well IMO.

ould inquire on Brady whenever they saw him play in ore season? Y
If he was only playing pre season, and not the full seasons there, he would not have looked very impressive

Belichick has said multiple times they almost named Brady the starter in 2001, as he had the better preseason than Bledsoe and the contract that was just signed was the only reason. Someone with that kind of talent at the backup QB position would be scooped up or get an opportunity once someone gets injured.
Extremely talented undrafted free agents get jobs in the NFL and play long careers.

Rodgers vs Brady is one of the easy IQ litmus tests on the MSB

And the same goes the other way around as well, but Brady has certainly benefitted from having Belichick all these years.

quote:dude this isn't Madden coaches gave eyeballs. They can physically see if a player is good or not. Blaine gabbert was a 1st rd pick and nobody picked him up because they knew he sucked donkey dick. People aren't gonna look at a piece of paper that says he's a 6th rd pick and just not sign brady. Brady was already pushing Bledsoe for the job when he went down was what everyone in New England was saying your entire argument is flawed

Take Rodgers at 21 all day. Brady had some nice wins but was not the QB Rodgers was at that time. He worked his way into being a great QB.
Posted on 10/13/17 at 10:22 am to WestCoastAg
Brady didn't have a passer rating over 90 until his 4th full season starting.....
Not sure how all these coaches would have been drooling over his practices and pre-season if he was a backup those years.....

Well I do know one was a first round draft pick and one wasn't. So I am taking Rodgers.
Posted on 10/13/17 at 10:24 am to lsupride87
In the stats YOU provided on page 1 it shows brady had the 6th highest passer rating in the league his first year. But nah coaches wouldn't be drooling over that
