He told them to run their units how they wanted. This was told to him by coaches that know aranda/Canada. Landry said this wasn't good long term as it was done in front of O and makes him look weak. says the meeting is a strong indicator of lack of faith in the head coach.

That’s pretty awful, definitely shows Alleva knows his arse on the chopping block
Also ridiculous O had to be told this since one of the platforms of his campaign was not do exactly that. I guess O is no different than any sleazy politician though

Don’t know about Mr. Landry but common sense would tell you that the guy that was meddling butted out. Hint meeting did not involve telling Canada to shut up and listen to O, more like O shut up and mind your side of the deal, recruiting cuz it is dyeing.

I know having two coordinators doing their own thing is exactly what the eauxmos were hoping for but I just don't think it's a good idea.
This is why you hire a head coach with a philosophy, either offense or defense, and have them use the other side of the ball to complement their side. Not two coordinators working independently of each other.
